The Moon travels through the sign of mutable air Gemini today
The first aspect that the Moon makes today is a conjunction to Jupiter, as they meet up in Gemini. There is the sense of every conversation and communications in general being very expansive and large and amplified. The Moon is swept along in the enthusiasm of Jupiter to explore and with curiosity, to share knowledge as it becomes available. Jupiter actively and outwardly with the aspiration of the quest, seeks to communicate and to know. This is big energy for the Moon, who is both enthusiastic herself, and exhausted. Jupiter is seeking to know the truth of things through the Gemini lens of perception from his own fiery mutability, while in mutable air. There is no stopping this energy. It may be that Jupiter will make large of things that are only medium, or small; perhaps not even anything at all. It's a period of a few hours where the Moon will need to hold her own instincts and intuition close today, without leaping into every idea or piece of news full force.
Mercury in Leo then makes an opposition to Pluto in Aquarius. There is the potential for a clear line of sight between the revelatory knowledge of Pluto in Aquarius and Mercury who is all about communicating in all ways and from all levels, in all places. While in Leo, Mercury is receiving and broadcasting from the point of view of the sovereign self. Mercury is known as the psychopomp; able to travel close to the light, into the dark places and across the barriers between life and death. Light shines upon the darkness, and the dark is no more. From Aquarius it may be that the kind of knowledge that Pluto is unearthing, is of the disturbing kind. Ideas around power, abuses of power, contractural things of all kinds, and secrets that have lain hidden until Pluto exposes them. The information relates to the sovereignty of the self, and this can feel oppositional in the sense that what secrets are being brought to light, directly oppose the sovereignty of the individual. As I write this, I'm thinking "this sounds potentially shocking; almost impossible ... " Good job Mercury is in Leo to help to connect with the information and see it for what it is. Let's see how this plays out!
There is just one last aspect today at around 3am for the UK. The Moon in Gemini makes a square to Saturn in Pisces. The Moon in communicative Gemini, having earlier made a conjunction to Jupiter and the potentially enormous amount of information; after Mercury connects with Pluto in that opposition. This begins to feel like a day of revelations, of the kind that the Moon was in the dark about. This first quarter square is a crisis in action, so there is something to actively understand for the Moon, that relates to Saturnian structures within the personal and collective unconscious, of Pisces. This is a realm where the Moon has been disconnected from knowledge that is now surfacing, and which activates an instinctual need to respond. The Moon needs to keep an open and flexible mind toward any and all information today, and to remember that it is wise to be able to accept information from an open mind, without necessarily taking is all as truth. After the Jupiter conjunction and the process of the day, the Moon will be able to have time to assimilate all that has become known.
The sequence of the days' transits are synchronous events that are linked together by the thread of things unknown, becoming known. The impact this knowledge has directly upon the sovereignty of each individual calls for a lot of communication, to both receive and to share it. There is a need to sift and assimilate only what intuitively and instinctively feels right at an internal level. Perceptions are being removed and secretive things revealed that may be of a shocking nature. In turn the square to Saturn, may bring up things from the personal and collective unconscious that reveal yet more of structures operating at a subconscious level. Awareness. Self responsibility and personal authority is also part of the dynamic of this day.
