The Moon travels through cardinal water Cancer today, and makes a New Moon conjunction with the Sun at 14 degrees and 23 minutes
The Moon is just at home today, replenishing and being nurtured by the Cancer field of home. The Moon can connect with the deepest core values of relationships with family, as we approach the New Moon.
First today, Mars in Taurus makes a sextile to Saturn in Pisces. The last time Mars spoke to anyone was back on the 29th June, on the day that Saturn went retrograde. Then Venus made a sextile to Mars. Since 29th Mars has been doing his own thing in Taurus, but now this sextile to Saturn aspect will be in effect for about 3, maybe 4 days. The sextile as we know is supportive and beneficial in regard to endeavours for their phasal relationship. This is an activating sextile for Mars to ground into the fabric of reality the seeds of the spiritual mission imparted to Mars by Saturn in their conjunction during the week of the Solar eclipse, (10th April). So this is the activating moment of seeding into the reality, in the fertile ground of Taurus that has been opened to 'change,' the spiritual mission statement from the eclipse cycle. The story unfolds but it's good to connect back to the phasal relationship between Mars and Saturn so that we can remember how the connections are made as we go forward. This sextile and seeding into Taurus seems to be synchronous with the New Moon energies which will infuse the new growth with the potency of this timing. This seeding is ripe with potential and possibility.
The Moon then makes its New Moon conjunction with the Sun at 14 degrees of Cancer. Consider all the new beginnings that can be dreamed of from the safety, warmth and love of the home environment. There has been the opportunity over the last cycle, for many roles to be reflected upon, relationships renewed and others that have been completing their cycles of connectedness. The Moon has been growing and changing. She has been taking greater and greater levels of personal responsibility, for her own creations. So this New Moon is now a moment of Renewal and the establishing of new emotional bonds between family and friends and loved ones. Also new dreams of creativity as natural functions in the realm of dreamy Cancer. Cancer is cardinally very creative; able to conceive of new growth, new creations, new futures.
So in her conjunction with the Sun, the Moon is discharged of the old cycle and all of its growth experience. Old ways of relating with others and personal identity have begun to be re-imagined in the Moon's deep core self. As the discharge occurs, there is space now for new dreams and the propulsion of a new cycle of growth for the Moon. Mars has planted seeds in Taurus, The Moon is renewed by the Sun in the intimacy of her cardinal and subjective feelings self. This potency is obvious and easy to feel.
The New Moon will occur in the UK at 11:57pm. So dream big, knowing that the possibilities are filled with potent life force and all the energy is ripe for new growth, new ideas, new creations; new life. Dream these dreams from the inside, out; from deep in the desire body, which lines up with mind, heart and imagination. The creative potential is available should the Moon wish to use it. I imagine that she will, as can we all. If anyone who is following the story of the Moon and Other Transits, has Planets or points of note at 14 degrees of signs that make aspect to the New Moon, can expect new growth in some form or another. 'Necessity is the Mother of Invention.' Not all growth is easy; the same with change and transformation from one life cycle to another. I'm leaning toward the idea that to grow, to renew, to create and transform something, often is preceded by some grit, or at the least the 'effort' of meeting the creative moment and turning up for it.
