Planetary Transits for the week 12th - 18th May 2025
The Moon This Week travels through the signs of Fixed Water Scorpio, then enters Mutable Fire Sagittarius on Tuesday morning. On Thursday early evening the Moon enters Cardinal Earth Capricorn and on Sunday early morning, enters Fixed Air Aquarius.
Monday 12th May 2025
The first and tone setting aspect on Monday, is the Full Moon in Scorpio at 16:55pm in the UK. The configuration is Moon in Opposition to the Sun in Taurus at 22.12 degrees Scorpio / Taurus. This means that from the square to Mars on Sunday 11th; the last aspect from yesterday, the Moons energy is free of aspects until this one. In Balsamic phase to the Sun, this would feel like a deep quiet and a still point where the Balsamic Moon processes the Month’s energies, in its cycle with the Sun.
The Full Moon also makes aspects by applying trine to the North Node of the Moon and Saturn in Pisces; and by sextile to the South Node of the Moon in Virgo. These will be exact in the next few hours, but the Full Moon pulls these connections into the frequency of the Full Moon energy. North (where we are heading) and South (what we are leaving behind), and all the evolutionary opportunities that this brings.
The Full Moon culminates in the full light of the Sun, where the Moon is as far from the Sun as it can get, while bathed in its full light. The Taurus Sun illuminates those things that bring us stability, sustained growth, nurturance and a sense of abundance in our resources, whether these are practical, monetary or things of worth and value at a deep and fixed level, and these valuable things are reflected in the Full Moon. The Moon in Scorpio feels intensely and deeply into the depths of hidden emotional and karmic patterns and states of being. In conjunction with Black Moon Lilith on Sunday 11th, the Moon has sensed some deep taboo and karmic undercurrents, and these also are pulled into the frequency that this Full Moon carries. Fixed Water and Fixed Earth. Deep intense patterns of emotional, and contractural soul dynamics, and the Fixed Earth of reality and how those patterns have been grounded into reality, stabilised and grown into the fabric. A lot could come to light, within and without that the Moon grasps at a deep felt sense level; intuitively knowing that what is felt, is Real and not imagined after all. The dark really does have things in it that have operated through fixed emotional patterns. In Trine to the North Node and Saturn and in Sextile to the South Node, the Moon has the opportunity to know what is what and to release and surrender to letting go of what has been held in the secrecy of shadow material, fixed patterns, karmic entanglements and patterns, soul contracts - Scorpio fashion.
So it could be that this Full Moon brings in its wake, a surfacing of patterns that the South Node can help to release, while feeling pulled by the flow of the North Node in Pisces, which brings conscious awareness to the structures that have become concrete at an internal, unconscious and embedded level. It’s a power filled Full Moon, that calls for a release of what has been held within the secret places and hidden from view; working with the release point of the South Node in Virgo. Release. Let Go. No use trying to hold on to what must fall away, or end, or be ended. This liberates and brings freedom from unconscious, hidden powerful patterns. These kinds of transformational processes are part of life’s cycle of death into rebirth. What needs to be released? What is calling?
Also on Monday, Jupiter in Gemini is in sextile with Chiron in Aries, and brings a communication; information that connects with Chiron and the healing wisdom that comes from the Aries wound. The Aries wound is around individual will, autonomy, courage and confidence, the call to adventure while feeling unsure of the way. The Aries wound goes deep, to the point of existence itself. It’s the wound of separation that comes from leaving behind the known and the safe and the secure, and the love of belonging somewhere. Aries is the exile, the scapegoat, the warrior archetype that everyone needs but is rarely acknowledged.
The shadow of Aries carries the wound, which is often expressed outwardly as aggression, war-like actions and spontaneous, reactionary actions. The light of Aries also carries the wound but is the hero, as an individuated will that knows itself as separate, yet part of a whole; distinct. There is no outside force that can coerce or corrupt and whatever mission is set out upon, the light of Aries will see it through and becomes wise in pursuit of the grail. The grail of course, being that thing that we seek, yet it is already here. Aries is the Self that we seek. Chiron knows that the answers to heal the wound, lie within; in the individuated, differentiated Self.
The communication that Jupiter both receives from Chiron and disseminates outwardly, is a voice of faith in the individual self and the overcoming of adversarial forces in pursuit of ‘making whole’ that which was separated; the Self. For me, these deeper insights flow with the Scorpio Full Moon and its evolutionary impulses to release and renew.
Later on Monday Saturn in Pisces makes a Sextile with Uranus in Taurus. Saturn at the last degree of Pisces, is of course, the Great Stone Face. We become what we idealise. Those forms and dreams that will emerge from the field of potentiality, into Aries are working with the changes that are happening in the fixed reality of the Taurus archetype. This sextile feels the electrical impulse of what is being seeded into the ground, as an ideal and a dream of what is forming. Future potentials might become apparent.
Mars in Leo then makes a Trine to Venus in Aries. It’s fiery, passionate, wilful in desires to connect with a true identity between Feminine and Masculine archetypal forces. The trine brings a quick, impulsive, spiritual pulse of heart based passionate energy between the two. This is on Monday, early evening.
Then lastly on Monday the Moon in Scorpio makes a trine to the North Node of the Moon. This is deep intense dreaming; powerful feelings, and a merging of conscious, unconscious and subconscious processes that are future oriented.
Monday is the biggest point of the week energetically, and then we head into Tuesday.
Tuesday 13th May 2025
During the nighttime hours, the Moon in Scorpio makes an opposition to Uranus in Taurus and a trine to Saturn in Pisces.
The Opposition to Uranus is at 02:35am and we can expect to have an electrical connection in some sense to the changing reality and breaking open of patterns, an earthquake or two in the psyche, and perhaps for real. It’s a chance to integrate something and the dream time offers a deep release of unconscious material.
The Trine to Saturn at 06:36am is a flow of intensity from the structures that come forward and upward from the unconscious and back again. It’s a two way emotional highway for some early morning dreams.
At 08:35am the Moon enters Mutable Fire Sagittarius. After the depths, there is a reaching for the highest potential truths to emerge; to know more from a higher perspective, about what has come to light. It’s the ability to find the language and the words to express intuitive understandings, where we can make sense of and see a bigger picture.
At 11:29am the Moon in Sagittarius makes a Trine to Neptune in Aries. The fire of the Moon in Sagittarius, meets the Spiritual impulse of Neptune through the Cardinal Fire of Aries. Any moisture or fog is clarified and dried up. There’s a kind of clear visionary aspect here. The Moon intuitively, emotionally but with spiritual vision, can see Neptune clearly for the first time in a very long time. What this brings in the late morning, who knows, but I like it. It’s like Neptune must be straight forward, clear, unambiguous and direct and the Moon is not left guessing. Refreshing!
At 13:30pm Mercury in Taurus makes an Opposition to Black Moon Lilith in Scorpio. The slow processing of our thinking in Taurus is useful here, to be fully focused with a fixed mind that can convey, think and communicate with, about and from deeper feminine and instinctual, emotional place. Mercury in Taurus is listening in a very focused way. Black Moon Lilith in Scorpio brings up what needs to be processed. All the fixed things being communicated, assimilated and categorised by Mercury. Mercury in Taurus is methodical, steady, unhurried and grounded toward a peaceful mindset. This aspect feels solidly useful.
At 16:10pm the Moon in Sagittarius makes a Sextile with Pluto in Aquarius. The search for meaning and truth, meets the transformative powers of Pluto, and the individual as a part of the whole, sees something of what has been uncovered by Pluto. This information will add to the bigger picture that the Moon is looking for.
Wednesday 14th May 2025
At 02:47am the Moon in Sagittarius makes a Trine to Venus in Aries. Nighttime hours bring a lovely spiritual harmony between Moon and Venus.
At 08:27am the Moon in Sagittarius makes a Trine to Mars in Leo. As the very next aspect made, this speaks to an intuitive Moon communication that connects both Feminine Values of New Beginnings and Masculine expression of Heart. It is the Moon that is the glue between Venus and Mars this morning. Something intuitive; a felt sense of a unifying moment.
At 23:37pm the Sun in Taurus makes a Sextile to the North Node in Pisces. Future oriented North Node brings a window of new openings in the life and the light of the Sun. The heart of the matter is illuminated in regard to future ideas, and where the energy wants to go.
Thursday 15th May 2025
At 08:53 the Moon in Sagittarius makes an Opposition to Jupiter in Gemini. This is an information exchange that the Moon is in full receipt of. It may challenge what the Moon thinks it knows, or most likely bring additional information that increases a sense of meaning and purposeful dissemination of truth. Because it’s an opposition it won’t be without tension, but if the information can be integrated, the whole truth can be known in a meaningful way.
At 08:57am the Moon makes a square to the North Node in Pisces. So just minutes later and essentially at the same moment of the day, there is a tension filled crisis in consciousness square between the Moon and its own future orientation. On the heels of the Opposition with Jupiter it seems likely that there is a connection between what passed between the Moon and Jupiter and this crisis in consciousness square.
At 09:55am the Moon makes a Trine to Chiron in Aries in which there is a two way flow of information. From the Moon it’s the formation of a larger understanding and the meaningful pursuit of discovering the truth. From Chiron, there is a flow of information that relates to personal will, integrity and a forthright wisdom. It is also possible that the individual will and survival of existence is triggered as a wound in the collective, in some way.
The Trine to the North Node coincides with a Square to the South Node in Virgo, and this is the kind of tension that asks for something to be resolved, surrendered, released and integrated. Something that heals and serves the larger evolutionary process that are unfolding.
At 11:35am Jupiter in Gemini makes a first quarter square to the North Node in Pisces. The need to communicate feels like an imperative and Jupiter is compelled to speak and share and voice something; to network and broadcast information that relates to future leanings, insights from the field of consciousness.
At 18:28 the Moon in Sagittarius makes a last quarter square to Saturn in Pisces. As a crisis in consciousness square the Moon in search of higher truth and meaning, is brought into awareness of Saturnian boundaries and limitations within consciousness. There is much that is unknown, and with Saturn at the last degree of Pisces, we are looking into ‘the Great Stone Face’ of that which we idealise. What is that higher purpose; that greater knowledge? What adjustment is required of the Moon and of consciousness; some knowledge about unconscious limitations is brought forward. This feels like hitting a membrane, through which we can see but cannot penetrate beyond the boundary of Saturn. Patience is needed. The Moon in Sagittarius can be impatience personified, but the lesson is that “all good things come to he who waits.”
At 19:58 the Moon enters Cardinal Earth Capricorn, and we get down to making things happen in a structured, responsible way in which success is assured.
At 22:54 the Moon in Capricorn makes a last quarter square to Neptune in Aries. This brings a clarification of vision and purpose in how to ‘begin’ and what adjustments may be needed in how the Moon processes what feels right; what’s of greatest importance, and what might not be ‘realisable,’ based on clarified and inspired activations of individual will and impulses for the task at hand.
Friday 16th May 2025
At 06:50am the Moon in Capricorn makes a Sextile to Black Moon Lilith in Scorpio which is likely to bring knowledge of something into the awareness of the Moon; something that has been going on under the cover of secrecy. This kind of insight might be a hard reality to feel, but in some way the Moon will be supported by knowledge of it.
At 17:29 the Moon makes a Trine to Mercury in Taurus. The slow methodical thinking style of Mercury here, is going to be a harmonious aid that can be trusted. Thinking things through, thoroughly, quietly, steadily and with patience. No hasty conclusions, but rather a fixed and solid gaze that brings practical solutions to potential needs. Solid information that is valuable to know, and likewise, Mercury’s thinking is clarified and supported by responsible and methodical Moon.
At 17:45 the Moon makes a last quarter square to Venus in Aries. Another crisis in thinking and the need to adapt in response, to include the values and desires of Venus; in her pursuit of loving connections and that will add to her own sense of individual value. The Moon must include Venus in the planning and outcomes, or nothing of value is added. Feminine values are important and cannot be left out.
Saturday 17th May 2025
Saturday only begins with aspects late in the day, at 18:38pm, as the Moon in Capricorn makes a Sextile to the North Node in Pisces, and a trine to the South Node in Virgo at the same time. This is another evolutionary moment of opportunity that is supported by future leanings and harmoniously in tune with the releasing of what no longer serves; whatever that is. It’s a point of release through harmonious support, and will just naturally happen with ease. All that’s required is to relax into it however you meet it, and lean into the future as its pull supports the process. This is such a nice point of the day on Saturday.
At 20:03pm the Moon in Capricorn makes a last quarter square to Chiron in Aries. Adjust in relation to healing needs at an individual level. Include personal needs and find wisdom in whatever unfolds. This assures completion of the Moon Chiron cycle through Aries.
At 23:32pm the Sun in Taurus makes its yearly conjunction with Uranus in Taurus at 27.17 degrees. This energy is between the Fixed Fire of our Star, at the height of its Solar Cycle, and the Transpersonal, transformative energies of change and liberation; of sudden shifts in perception. The light of the Sun obscures the view of Uranus from the Earth’s perspective, but we Feel the electricity of dynamic potential that is added to the solar rays of the Sun. Objectivity arises when we come to see that we exist within an extended sphere of reality, and when we can laugh at how insignificant we actually are within that inestimable, cosmic world. We see how silly is our prideful self-love and, within the context of the greater picture, how irrelevant are our personal thoughts and feelings. It is a great leap forward on the path to realisation when we release self-importance.

This is talking about the difference between ego identification and immaturity that cannot take feedback from the world in a constructive and matured sense, and being an individuated soul that knows itself as distinct and yet without ego inflation in front of an audience. The audience makes the comedian humble and honest. There’s more we could say about this, but my initial thoughts are that there is a sense of ‘feeling out the waters’ of authentic expression, based on who we truly are. Anything else brings an experience of deflation. Just thoughts to bear in mind as time goes by. People are ‘seen’ for any incongruence or inflations.

At 00:23am the Moon in Capricorn makes a Trine to Uranus in Taurus. There’s an ease and a flow between the Earth signs, and with the Nodes of the Moon at 25 degrees of their signs, we are feeling a reciprocal deepening of the South Node as part of a Grand Earth Trine tonight. This is very grounded and steady energy. It is what it is and feels deeply nourishing of intended outcomes.
At 00:27am the Moon makes a Trine to the Sun in Taurus. Dreams could illuminate a lovely harmony of intention, action, and outcome, toward evolutionary change.
In the early hours at 04:35am Mercury in Taurus makes a last quarter square to Mars in Leo. Thinking and sharing must adjust in relation to active Masculine expression of identity. Is how we think in line with our actions and expressions? Are our expressions congruent with what we say and how we communicate. Solid and patient thinking, meets the Mars expression through its natural expression. Mercury is peaceful, thoughtful; while Mars is strong in Leo. Long ago our species lost its balance and set up a pattern of distortion in thinking and behaviour that has prevented us from finding the highest degree of group consciousness. That has brought emotional and physical disorder to most people across the planet. Yet certain people have kept alive practices from ancient times and are able, and in fact duty bound, to offer healing to those ready to receive it.

There is supportive healing knowledge and energies between individual healing needs and what is communicated at the street level. Whatever information is around today, is healing and brings healing wisdom for the Aries archetype. The individual, autonomous self.
We are yet again seeing the need to meet lessons which bring us into healing ourselves of distortions of light. Distortions of Aquarius archetypal energies. And this may bring the re-discovery of what we had ‘put away’ out of sight and out of mind, but which now comes front and centre, so that we can bring Balance back into the template of who we authentically are and where we fit. It’s like a higher, further-back form of truth and re-alignment.
Lastly on Sunday, the Moon makes a first quarter square aspect to Black Moon Lilith. The crisis in action square feels like the need to act in authenticity, in relation to all that we know of ourselves and of everything that has come to light over the previous days, weeks, months and years of process toward these times. Black Moon Lilith is the authentic feminine principle that is untamed, but was also dissociated from turning up in the world, and this aspect with the Moon in Aquarius speaks of re-adjustment and now to become an authentic expression of an original state that has not had a way of expressing itself in the world; until now. This square is a call to ‘be true to who we authentically are.’ To act in balance and alignment with this truth.
Another interesting week to unfold before us, and if this resonates, it seems to me that we are in alignment with evolutionary impulses, toward the successful outcome of our hearts desires, and visions of what the future holds.
