The Moon Feels
Planetary Transits for the Week 9th - 15th December 2024
The Chart on Monday 9th December at Midday.
The chart above looks and is, layered with a complex arrangement of aspect patterns, including two mystic rectangles. These are formed of two sextile’s, two trines and two oppositions which are encased in the supportive and benevolent aspects of trines and sextile’s.
The Planetary archetypes as they are functioning in the mystic rectangles are:
1. Black Moon Lilith opposite Chiron. Sun opposite Jupiter. Jupiter is in sextile with Chiron and trine Black Moon Lilith. While the Sun is in sextile to Black Moon Lilith and trine to Chiron. These archetypes are all connected in a conversation that speak to benevolent, supported integration of opposites, as the potential of possibility which the mystic rectangle suggests.
Sun Jupiter ignite the Gemini Sagittarius polarity and the integration of the illuminated truth of higher knowledge through the Sun in Sagittarius, and how this translates into the mundane world as we receive it through Jupiter in Gemini.
Chiron and Black Moon Lilith ignite the relationship axis of Aries and Libra and the integration of healing wisdom between Self and Others, as a distinct, individual and authentic Self.
Sun in sextile to Black Moon Lilith seeks to bring a bigger illuminated picture and truth to Black Moon Lilith, increasing her strength and light as a unique feminine archetype, who has been returning with a willingness to relate, as herself. Isolation of the authentic self and self imposed exile, is a thing of the past. The Truth and greater knowledge from a higher perspective, supports and is supported in a mutual alliance of this state of being on Monday, and for the next two to three days.
Sun in trine to Chiron connects, transmits and receives energies between Sagittarius and Aries archetypes that carries the energy of spiritual healing; this carries the healing wisdom that relates specifically to what has been the isolated Self as we ‘re-late’ to Self (healing the wound of separation). Distinct and of equal value and importance in relationship. There is no true relationship with anyone else, unless we turn up as we are, authentically who we are. This truth facilitates the integration of the polarities between Aries and Libra. The Aries glyph represents amongst other things, the ‘fountain head’ and in this sense, the Source from which we all Spring. To reconnect and heal the wound of existence itself; that of ‘Separation,’ is to also ‘re-unite’ with our connection to the Source of our Creation. Humanity Returning to Source/Self and its unique identity as a whole. I digress into deeper layers of the Aries archetype, but these layers are all healed as part of this process. As Above, So Below; As Within, So Without. Remember from last week; we see the spiritual in the mundane and God in Everything. Enlightenment naturally flows from this fountain.
Jupiter in sextile to Chiron and in trine to Black Moon Lilith, as the polarising energy of the Sun, brings faith and truth in transmission from Chiron to Black Moon Lilith and back again. As Jupiter is the conduit through which the bigger picture is translated as God in the Mundane, transmits this integration toward both the Aries and the Libra archetypes. There is healing for the Self through communication of knowledge from the Sun, (as Light encoded information), and it is the trine’s flow of this frequency, that invigorates Black Moon Lilith. It’s a confirmation of what she gains from her sextile with the Sun. The Aries Libra polarities are integrated through this higher knowledge and healing wisdom.
At 13:38pm the Moon enters cardinal fire Aries.
Now let’s look at the second of the mystic rectangles.
2. Mars in Leo opposite Venus conjunct Pluto in Aquarius, and the Nodes, (both South and North), in natural opposition to each other. The North Node point in Aries pulls the Moon and Neptune into the conversation.
Mars in retrograde, opposing both Venus and Pluto in Aquarius, as a contained opposition in the mystic rectangle, is softened but is at the same time a more deeply embedded experience, of integration between the ‘I am’ core identity, as Mars who in this case represents a unique and active self expression and Venus under the cloak of Pluto, who has been buried in the collective, dissociation. Venus and Pluto together in Aquarius brings us into the principle of soul desires, to connect and find value through collective relationship. This opposition offers the potential for integration of the core identity, to actively assert itself as part of a larger whole, but a distinct, unique and individuated aspect. This is a complex, deep and intense opposition conjunction, that expresses a deeper, broader, wider integration of complex, cosmic and earthly issues.
At the same time, Mars makes a sextile to the South Node and a trine to the North Node, the Moon itself and Neptune’s energies which are now focused in a ‘direct’ motion.
Neptune is the largest of Ocean liners, turning and churning the waters of consciousness, in One specific area; This degree point of 28 Pisces, is all about ‘the fulfilment of our desires … The Fertile Garden.’ It is as if, Neptune is stirring the field of consciousness, in order to bring to the surface, the deepest dreams and desires of which humanity has been unconscious. I think it’s time to dream, and to dream big. North Node … where we are headed and an intended outcome or a field of exploration that is coming into view. With the North Node in Aries and Neptune in Pisces, it is clear that there is a communication of what wishes to manifest into reality, expressing itself through the container of the mystic rectangle. The Moon’s presence here, is an amplification of this energy in the psyche of ‘the People,’ through an intuitive, subjective felt sense. We don’t have to think it, but we can ‘feel’ it stirring in us, like the waters of consciousness are stirred by Neptune turning direct, in the Fertile Garden. This is a spiritually creative portal.
This conjunction of North Node and Neptune, infused into the Moon and the psyche of the people, is making a sextile with the Venus Pluto conjunction in Aquarius, which confirms the desires of each of us to express uniquely as an individuated aspect of the whole. Venus Pluto making a trine with the South Node, are able to transmit future looking Aquarius and the deep and intense collective experience, toward the South Node. In the trine there is a two way flow of information that speaks of past and future desires and relationships. Venus in rulership of Libra is in future oriented Aquarius, conjunct with Pluto and so all the power and intensity is toward moving into a collectively aligned endeavour. The past as depicted by the South Node is falling away as the Aries Libra axis is integrated, and the South Node heads toward Virgo in late January 2025.
Alongside this, Mars makes a sextile to the South Node in Libra which is supportive of the changes in how we relate, and the balance that is required as we express who we are. There is always the potential for the shadow aspects of any of the planetary configurations to be expressed, but for the purposes of The Moon Feels, we are looking at the ‘potential’ growth of consciousness, as sextile’s are by nature supportive of mutual growth. By the time Mars closes with the South Node, it will be in Virgo and so this is a culminating sextile that aims to bring a Mars South Node in Libra process to a close, as I see it. In the opposition to Venus Pluto, Mars is integrating the future collective journey while releasing and reviewing the past. Mars still has some work to do in Cancer and will catch up with the integration process as he meets the South Node later in the Summer of 2025.
Monday sets the tone for the week ahead.
Tuesday 10th December
On Tuesday we can see from the chart, that the mystic rectangles are still operating. A brief and underlying fire trine is trying to form between Mercury in Sagittarius, Mars in Leo and the Moon as she transits through Aries. It’s a brief portion of Tuesday when there is a spiritually led, fiery impulse to communicate but by midday, the Moon has moved on. Perhaps the ‘pulse’ is all that is needed. This leaves a trine between Mercury and Mars and the spiritual frequency communicated between them. Mars received information needed as he retrogrades back toward Cancer, while Mercury picks up on the state of play that is ‘Mars.’
At 16:23pm the Moon in Aries makes a sextile to Jupiter in Gemini. The Moon is pulled into the gravitational field of Jupiter and even though Jupiter is still in quieter waters, using the boat analogy, there is a sense that this sextile imparts such a depth of awareness both to Jupiter and the Moon herself is infused at a ‘feelings’ level, with the knowledge of Jupiter. So, it’s big. Fiery and cardinal Moon meets mutable, moveable, flexible Jupiter who is ‘listening’ carefully to the trends and conversations at the street level. It’s as if the Jupiter retrograde in Gemini is bringing everything ‘Jupiter’ down to earth, and seeing the ‘Universal in the World.’
Wednesday 11th December
At 15:55pm on Wednesday the Moon enters fixed earth Taurus. Here there is a sense of things being slower, methodical; with practical considerations at the forefront.
In the chart we can see that a kite is forming, a mystic rectangle still persists from Monday between Mars, Pluto Venus and the Nodes with Neptune, and although feint, I can see the tentative formation of a boat and sail. So the energetics are moving, changing and evolving.
All of these aspect patterns speak of beneficial, benevolent and supportive structures of frequencies, that are working toward integration, growth, change, movement and evolution.
Venus and Pluto, together with Mars are at the forefront of the kite formation, and this enhances the processes of the mystic rectangle. The detailed description of Monday 9th, will go a long way to describing the themes of the week, as we live it.
At 16:42pm the Moon in Taurus makes a first quarter square to Pluto and then Venus in the nighttime hours. There is a sense here of things being seeded into the field of Taurus and the fixed earth of our reality. These seeds will carry the Aquarius energies, whose roots will support the growth of innovations to come, and of powerful, future collective experience. What grows from this we shall see, but the ‘action’ needed by the Moon is to receive the seed of the idea and the vision of innovative future endeavours, which are to sustain life and create an environment of peaceful abundance based on Aquarian principles. This is a SEEDING moment.
Thursday 12th December
On Thursday, we can see that there is a very strong and growing sextile between the North Node in Aries and Pluto in Aquarius. This supportive aspect brings the powerful Pluto energies in future oriented and collective endeavours of Aquarius, into the future oriented North Node. This reciprocal alliance brings intensity and powerfully transformative change, that may well bring deeper knowledge of technologies. This knowledge is intentionally brought forward into the Aries field of awareness and everything gears up toward a ‘take off’ moment over the next months and years ahead. It seems like what has already been discovered outside of awareness of the collective, is brought to the fore. As the Nodes change signs, the North Node of future orientation, will sail through the field of collective consciousness. This whole week feels like seeds, ideas, innovative visions and possibility … being brought into the light of awareness.
Between 1pm - 2pm today, the Moon in Taurus becomes the release point of a T square between Venus and Mars. As Venus and Mars make their opposition very strongly together, there is a need to integrate and bring a sense of mutual balance between masculine and feminine principles, between action and reception, between electrical and magnetic … These polar opposites in fixed fire with Mars and fixed air of Venus are released into the fertile soil of Taurus fixed earth. This could be again, a seeding of the integration between these polarised forces; an at odds expression which needs the release point to be in the favour of feminine values of peace, of harmony, of beauty; and sustainable, practicality that finds a resolution to what feels like fixed and unsolvable issues. The Moon (the People) are the resolution point. Peaceful resolution to fixed and polarised issues between ‘me in here’ and ‘everyone else.’
At 13:55pm the Moon makes a collaborative and supportive sextile to Saturn in Pisces, where vision and practicality are working together, to create something that is of practical and sustainable value. This potential is rooted in conscious collaboration and brings a sense of safety and security for the Moon and the People.
Friday 13th December
Today, there is the makings of a boat in formation. It highlights the collaboration between the outer Planets of Neptune and Pluto, while being joined by the Moon in Taurus after a conjunction with Uranus and by Mercury in Sagittarius making a sextile with Venus. It’s a boat that may leak, and whose formation may not solidify, but the support it offers in the big scheme of the week is strong and buoyant.
The Moon begins the day with a conjunction to Uranus in Taurus, at 24.11 degrees. So let’s set the tone for their new phase conjunction together.

This symbol degree speaks for itself and needs no further explanation or interpretation from me. I love it. It feels synchronous with the entire theme of the week and sets the tone for the day. A foundation of belonging, collaboration, and participation, that benefits all. It really could not be a more stable ground on which to anchor the Moon Uranus cycle for the month ahead.
At 12:38pm the Moon makes a sextile to Neptune in Pisces, and this feels like a connection to conscious co-creative energies, where the Moon and ‘the People’ are connected with each other through a field of mutual, visionary and spiritual impulse and feeling propelled forward by a collective sense of ‘necessity as the Mother of invention.’ Something is being anchored in to the field of Taurus and it is future oriented.
At 17:22pm the Moon enters mutable air Gemini. The vibration is lifted and fast moving compared to the steady pace of Taurus. Communication is front and centre. Information gathering, receiving and transmitting.
At 18:14pm the Moon makes a trine with Pluto in Aquarius, and the air is pulsing with some deep and powerful insights. The fixed qualities of Pluto’s deep intensity in Aquarius moves the field of thinking. There’s a revelatory sense to this trine where something is transmitted through the element of air, which brings a tremendous capacity to change minds and shift thinking into a higher, broader understanding. There’s innovation; unusual and unexpected developments which have the capacity to be transformative.
The Weekend of Saturday and Sunday 14th and 15th December
This weekend includes the Full Moon in Gemini on Sunday 15th.
On Saturday, the Moon makes five aspects. During the early hours the Moon makes a sextile to Mars and an opposition to Mercury and by 06:39am she makes a trine with Venus in Aquarius. This trine brings a free flow and transmission of information and insightful communications, that speak to values that shape thinking and focus intuition. It’s a highly intuitive connection, where both the Moon and Venus benefit.
At 15:33pm the Moon makes a square to Saturn in Pisces, and there is a need; a tension formed, for the Moon to communicate those things that are brought up in her thinking and intuition, to bring creative ideas into communications. It’s a collective conversation with the need to share ideas and thinking.
At 18:42pm the Moon makes a culminating conjunction with Jupiter at 16 degrees of Gemini.

It is not effective at all to present new ideas in a dry matter-of-fact tone. The first step must be to win the attention of the group by persuading people that we have something of interest to say. An intrusive manner of speech is almost inevitable, probably backed up by hyperbole, drama and startling claims. Strong feelings are almost de rigueur - and to be felt not just acted out.

How apt that this conjunction speaks to ‘participation’ for that degree range, and to the notion of the sharing of ideas, which the square to Saturn in Pisces requires. The Sabian symbol talks to the idea that in order to share ideas, it’s necessary to engage with others in an appropriate way, in which those ideas can be conveyed so that others can engage with them; that our own minds need to remain open to being on the receiving end of ideas that perhaps seem outlandish and out of the ordinary. There’s a sense too of embellishment, which personally I feel does not lend credence to ideas, but perhaps the dramatic nature of some new ideas, may be part of the scene that is painted, or which one needs to paint for others. The question is, how does one convey ideas that are outside of the ordinary; which may seem outlandish and dramatic … in a way that engages these things so that they can be received. The Moon Jupiter cycle is founded in this dilemma in communication, in order to participate in a collective conversation, that is taking place over the next month. Truth is often stranger than fiction and this is so true!
On Sunday, the Moon makes just three aspects.

The creative mind is not frozen into uselessness by situations that appear impossibly restrictive to others. In fact the awakened individual seeks challenges in order that they can rise to the occasion and develop further skills and maturity.

What a complex Full Moon. My initial sense of this symbol is that it’s layered. The Full Moon is a culmination phase, where during the next two weeks there will be a process of disseminating and waning energies. During this time, there’s integration of insights, intuition and experience. Experience is assimilated, and brought to the point of releasing old energies at the New Moon.
There’s a sense of excited nervousness and anxieties along with a need to release built up tensions and in this sense, we can enjoy the energetic exertion required, to break down old energy and ‘revitalise.’ The skating on frozen ice’ suggests a level of focused activity that releases and energises, through pursuits that take us out of static mental focus. Doing something different, and physical releases the mind from the constant stream of information. Action in this sense is like ‘rest’ for the mind, and a release of those tensions that have built as a result. Blowing away the cobwebs during this Full Moon, through focused physical exertion is a relief and a release, while energising the senses on all levels.
The Full light of the Sun in Sagittarius illuminates the Moon, infusing truth and higher knowledge into the psyche, that requires an immersive experience of inward processing.
At 14:21pm the Moon makes a square to Neptune in Pisces. As a first quarter square, the action needed is to release, to renew, to replenish and to make right action for the Moon Neptune cycle. The Realisation of Faith and the Fulfilment of our Desire. This Full Moon feels like an active rest that both switches off the thinking function in the act of ‘doing’ something which requires a different kind of focus and that this in its action, brings about a release and a revitalising of consciousness and creative imagination. A rejuvenating pause. To let our thinking go free; and here we arrive back at that thought of needing a mind that is open to what is trying to be known. It’s as if the Full Moon and the Neptune square are bringing the Moon and the People, to a point of mental rest, as a preparation of the mind, so that it can function in a different way.
Lastly, at 19:22pm the Moon enters cardinal water Cancer. Home. Familiar. Emotionally contained and the privacy of personal space and self care. And this, explains the Neptune square, that to act in a way that nurtures the Moon. Activities that nurture the Moon in you, will be very beneficial right now. Take some time out on Sunday, to rest the mind and ‘take a beat.’
So, this is the week and it’s another big one. They all feel so potent these days, with so much to process, integrate and heal. The awakening process is intense. The culmination of the week is the culminating Full Moon, and it all leads us to a moment of recreational pause, to release the tensions built. Sunday is a day to play.
