The Moon Phases and Signs this week:
On Monday we begin the week in the Last Quarter energies of the Moon phase, in the Sign of Cancer. On Tuesday we are in Waning Crescent Moon phase and we remain in this phase for the rest of the week. The Moon moves into Leo in the late morning on Tuesday, until Thursday early evening, when the Moon enters Virgo. On Sunday the Moon enters Libra in the early morning.
Last Quarter = CONTEMPLATION: Let it Go; Release; Cleanse.
Waning Crescent = IMMERSION: Surrender; Self-Kindness; Compassion.
The Moon moves through water, into fire, into earth and finally on Sunday, into air.
This is a week of knowledge coming to the fore, that is a fast flow of congruence; knowledge that emerges from the lenses of all three air signs, Gemini, Libra and Aquarius.
Monday 13th October
On Monday morning, the Moon in Cancer makes a trine to Mars in Scorpio; a trine and a sextile simultaneously between the Nodes of the Moon, and two squares (both crisis of consciousness [thinking]) to the Sun and Black Moon Lilith in the last 5 degrees of Libra, during early and mid evening.
The Kite formation that we can see in the chart for Monday, whose axis of opposition is between Venus and both Saturn/Neptune, remains connected and operating through the chart all week. The Venus to Saturn Neptune opposition is a taught thread of insight, as Venus stretches toward home. She enters Libra on Monday evening, and carries these insights with her into a new harmonisation through Libra, through a grand air trine between herself and the transpersonal planets this week. This brings the potential for a convergence; a connection through all fields of communications, in clear sighted diplomacy. Venus can transmit objectivity ‘from a distance’ around subjects that are transforming collective reality. In Libra, Venus values harmonisation in relationship through good communications.
The Moon on Monday is feeling the emotional flow at a deep level between matters of the heart and home, and the deeper insights which Mars in Scorpio brings, through a harmonious trine energy.
Later in the evening the Moon squares the Sun in Libra and Black Moon Lilith. BML is swinging this week between the latter degrees of Libra and the field of Scorpio. Black Moon Lilith swings between the Sun then Mercury and Mars in Scorpio.
The Kite, provides a structure that holds a process of some kind; of a shift through the grand air trine, as the opposition between Venus and both Saturn in Pisces and Neptune in Aries, are pivotal points of dynamic opportunity to understand what is building, creating and emerging, and where it all fits.
The grand trine in air brings knowledge, connection to knowledge, the communication of knowledge, the sharing of knowledge; knowledge that is transformative in its potential. Pluto in Aquarius (De-compartmentalisation), Uranus in Gemini (Networking and information exchange that is like lightning), and through Venus as she slips into Libra, where justice and fairness for all are valued, through relationships of all kinds.
Tuesday 14th October
Tuesday brings deep, intense change through the structure of the grand air trine, as Pluto stations direct (SD). As we look at the chart for Tuesday, it’s more than obvious how strong, layered and dovetailed the processes are, that run through the day. We are in Waning Crescent Moon phase now. IMMERSION: Surrender, Self-Kindness and Compassion.
We have two strong kite formations, which include the grand air trine and two minor grand trines. The oppositions within the kites between Venus, Saturn and Neptune; and between the Moon and Pluto, are also part of a mystic rectangle, and surrounding it all, is what I call a ‘big tent’ formation, which encompasses these layered frequencies that are strongly vibrating through our collective field of reality, on Tuesday.
The personal planets are experiencing the transpersonal planets in a direct flow state that transmits through Venus and the Moon.
I would consider Tuesday as the most potent, powerful day, that promises the dissemination and transmission of knowledge from all directions, in a layered process. The chart is just the snapshot of the midday point on Tuesday.
The Moon meanwhile, makes connections to Chiron in Aries by first quarter square, which encourages the Moon to find emotional healing, to perhaps intuitively know that what is felt, is part of whatever healing is needed.
A trine to Saturn in Pisces, during the nighttime hours, before entering Leo in the late morning brings the Moon into opposition with Pluto, and the second kite forms in the middle of the day. Moon opposite Pluto (now direct), in Aquarius … the ‘Storm’ degree which promises powerful revelatory knowledge which has been hidden. There is the potential and possibility for clear intuitive insight, both opposing and confronting, while it informs.
The Leo Moon makes immediate trine to Neptune in Aries as part of this configuration; yet another aspect that supports information being received. It corroborates, illuminates, and inspires confidence in the Moon that what is showing up, is dynamically supported from many sources. Media is highlighted, so there may also be a sense of confusing narratives as truth vies with deceptive words. Leo Moon is socially connected through the kite to these transformative energies.
The Moon is pushed by Uranus to grow in knowledge and pulled by Venus in Libra to harmonise and connect with what feels right, while Pluto reveals and takes down some walls of perception.
Wednesday 15th October
On Wednesday the Moon makes just two aspects in the morning, while in Leo. These are squares to both Mercury and Mars in Scorpio. Mercury is applying to conjunction with Mars, toward the early part of next week; as we meet the New Moon in Libra. The New Moon in Libra feels like the breaking of a dam of information, but for now the Moon in square to them both, brings a crisis in consciousness and the need to square up to, and make adjustments in perception; to make ready for what is coming … whatever that might be, some deep emotional cathartic energies are surfacing this week and the Moon Feels them on Wednesday.
Thursday 16th October
On Thursday, the Moon makes sextile’s to Black Moon Lilith and the Sun, and a trine to Chiron in Aries. These are aspects that take place during the nighttime hours and into the morning.
Then nothing until early evening as the Moon then enters Virgo, making first quarter square crisis in action to Uranus in Gemini.
This all Feels like early morning dreams and the day beginning with knowledge of personal Chiron understandings. Healing notions, ideas and teachings; perhaps wisdom that flows from nighttime dreams. As the Moon enters Virgo and makes that square with Uranus, there may be a feeling of being confronted with knowledge and information, that has to be processed, through subjective intuitive senses, knowing that it fits somewhere … maybe unlocks some greater insight. The Moon in Virgo will want to know where it fits and integrate new understandings, in light of whatever is communicated through the square.
Friday 17th October
Mercury connects with the evolutionary portals of North and South Nodes of the Moon, by trine and sextile respectively. Information of what needs to be released and what information related to future; at one and the same part of the day. It’s an early morning aspect, so dreams may be part of how we meet these transmissions of knowledge.
In the early morning the Sun in Libra makes a square with Jupiter in Cancer and then late in the evening an opposition to Chiron in Aries. These two aspects although separated by the hours of the day, seem to be part of how the day connects, through illumination of emotions and how this shows up in the Aries field, and individual healing needs later in the day.
The Moon makes no aspects on Friday, so is moving quietly through Virgo; processing and immersed, surrendering in self-kindness and compassion, in its own phase, its own rhythms and perceptions.
Saturday 18th October
On Saturday, the Moon in Virgo makes nighttime connections that are personally very supportive, collaborating in the Moon’s process of understanding. Through the minor grand trine aspect pattern, we meet Mercury by sextile, Mars by sextile, Jupiter by sextile. The Moon is both propelled and pulled through a process of dreams and insights of a deep emotional and cathartic nature.
In the same stretch of nighttime hours, the Moon makes an opposition to Saturn. Structures forming within awareness and the unconscious may be sensed by the Moon, as Jupiter softens the opposition, bringing a harmonising force of faith and meaning. This could be felt as a guiding internal force for the good.
Saturday brings the Moon into conjunction with the South Node of the Moon and opposition to the North Node in Pisces. Let’s look at the conjunction symbol degree.

The Earth has tensions that release by volcanic eruptions; in the same way, so too does the human psyche occasionally blow off to release pent-up energies. Though this behaviour is often disruptive and sometimes destructive, nevertheless it is healthier than the alternative. Without it the psyche would be in danger of catastrophic breakdown or falling into the frozen attitude of an automaton, slavishly obedient to imposed constraints.

A VOLCANIC ERUPTION
Reaction, Combustion, Explosive feelings … but more than anything else a welcome and needed Release of pent up, built up, dammed up expression. A statement of intention and a release of something that needs to be let go. The conjunction is with the past. Perhaps this brings a ‘next level’ unscrewing, and the opportunity to see a line of sight into something of the future which offers insight into potentials, as igniting forces. I will leave it there and let’s see how this unfolds.
Sunday 19th October
On Sunday the Moon enters Libra in the early hours and makes an immediate opposition to Neptune followed by a trine to Uranus and another to Pluto. Dreams seem likely to bring potent unconscious and transformative forces into awareness. Well worth keeping a journal close by and paying attention to dreams that come into the early morning hours, powerfully.
In the early evening on Sunday, the Moon makes a conjunction with Venus in Libra. Here is the Sabian symbol for their conjunction:

It is reassuring to know that, however often we may stumble and fall, we can never extinguish the light and fire of Spirit within; as Pope said ‘hope springs eternal’. Hope is faith’s refusal of faith to die. We can always find a place of spiritual comfort even if it is no more than a stranger advising us to ‘keep on keeping on’. Indeed if we do touch bottom and pull ourselves up again, we are noticeably stronger and wiser after that experience, often more compassionate and forgiving too.

Again, we have this sense of being guided through transformative process, for for good. Something that we are a part of but which is larger than the sum of parts. There is faith, surrender and the need to trust that there are benevolent energies running through the whole week and on Sunday, these can be felt as personal, internal, sensory and intuitive things.
Lastly on Sunday, the Moon makes a square with Jupiter in Cancer. A first quarter square, it is cardinal, relational, emotional and sensitive. Faith and Joy in action as the Moon relates, harmonises, connects through relationships.
This is The Moon Feels for the week ahead. It feels intensely transformative through information, knowledge, depth and powerful revelations. It feels like the world will look quite different as we come through it.
