The Chart of the Day
The Moon travels through cardinal earth Capricorn all day
It is a busy day of aspects today. In the early morning of the chart, we can see that the Moon makes a first quarter square with Black Moon Lilith, a sextile with Saturn and the feint strains of an opposition with Mars that will become exact later in the day. Venus is still in trine with Mars, but is pulling away from the trine with Saturn and this breaks up the grand water trine. Venus is also in an opposition with Uranus which will strengthen over the coming days, brings a tension between deep emotional needs to merge and the changing nature of what was stable, that no longer feels so reliably familiar. Mars is square to the Sun and Mercury, and Jupiter is trine to them both at the same time. Communications between home and other relationships are activated, while the sails are slackening as the Jupiter energies reduce forward movement. Meanwhile, the Moon begins her day with the sextile to Saturn.
At 5:05am we see the Moon in square with Black Moon Lilith, which is strengthening during the next couple of hours. Dutiful and responsible Moon in Capricorn, meets a call to action in regard to her conjunction with Black Moon Lilith which happened in Libra at 10.34 degrees on 2nd October. Here is the Sabian symbol for their conjunction which will tell us about the energy signature present during their conjunction.
TEACHING
Developing the ability to share what we have learned
"Seeing teaching as the revelation of light"
This was 'A Professor peering over his glasses.'
So there is a need for the Moon to remember this principle, and in as straightforward a way as possible, communicate clearly with the intention of being understood by those who may hold different historic or generational perspectives than our own. The Moon must find a way to convey her sense of what feels right in diverse ways, in order to be broadly understood. Her 'plans' must include this idea of diversity in perspective. There is of course another way to view this; and perhaps this is the point. We have Black Moon Lilith in Libra, and her presence is as an untamed and instinctually wild aspect of feminine nature, whose voice has not been heard. Dutiful Moon may need to bring her voice through in a way that is sensitive to the gap in generational perspectives. An intuitive bridging of the gap is called for perhaps, and tensions born of difference may be apparent.
At 12:16pm, the Moon in Capricorn makes a sextile with Saturn in Pisces. This sextile pulls the Moon toward a culmination with Saturn in an alliance that supports her in the sign that Saturn rules. This is a mentoring support which brings confirmation for the Moon that she can achieve what she has in mind and take responsibility for the work to be done; whatever that may be. From Pisces, Saturn is softer; his rigidity dissolving and there is a relinquishing of control to the Moon.
At 4:44pm, Venus in Scorpio makes an in-conjunct to Jupiter in Gemini. This feels like an emotional sensitivity to the quiet voice. Venus can no doubt sense and feel the intensity of emotions in regard to information which makes itself known through the in-conjunct but which brings disquiet.
At 5:57pm Venus then makes another in-conjunct to Chiron in Aries. In this sense we can again feel the silent Yod aspect that Venus makes in the chart, and the focus is in the deep well of feelings. The disquieting information through the in-conjunct with Jupiter, seems to play into the Chiron healing that is taking place within the individual Will of Venus. In Scorpio, this is a deep and intensely emotional position for Venus.
At 7:55pm the Moon in Capricorn makes a square to the Sun in Libra. This highlights the energies, and activates the New Moon eclipse conjunction between Moon and Sun on the 2nd October. This is the same degree as the Moon conjunction with Black Moon Lilith and shares the same Sabian symbol dynamic of how to communicate effectively in ways that can be understood, with different generations. The Sun adds its light and warmth of relationship with Black Moon Lilith and with the relationship desire to understand others and be understood by others.
At 11:22pm the Moon makes an opposition to Mars in Cancer. We meet the Child/Mother/Parent energy in this polarity, as the Moon is feeling opposed by the pull of childhood emotional states that are activated through Mars. There is a sense here of feeling the polarised energies of the parent and the child, between being the adult; responsible and taking charge, or being infantile and regressive as an emotionally volatile child, when confronted with the need to act on behalf of those who are vulnerable. The Moon is adult; the choice is clear and cannot be abdicated. Mars is in a position of activating the childhood sense of the need to protect and be protected; to be taken care of. In Capricorn, the Moon must take up her familial duty. She is leaving the house of childhood, while entering into a parental role for herself and for others in her care. In astrological terms, this applies collectively to the people. There is a clear choice that taking responsibility in order to protect family and home, is the way it must be. Everyone gets to take the reigns of life; seriously. This opposition brings up a lot of tension that is apparent and undeniable. It's a choice point; a crunch point.
At 2:02am in the nighttime for the UK, the Moon makes an in-conjunct to Jupiter. In the dreamtime, this may play out for those of us in the UK. Otherwise, this is likely to be felt as information of a disquieting nature.
At 2:07am in the nighttime, the Moon makes a last quarter square to Chiron in Aries. Duties and responsibilities are brought into focus in regard to the healing of individual will, and as a crisis in consciousness there may be a need to feel a challenge in consciousness that must be met with the courage to continue and a re-orientation of priorities.
At 2:58am in the nighttime, the Moon makes a last sextile with Venus in Scorpio. There is a deep and intensely supportive encouragement from Venus, of empowerment at an emotional level. Needs met in times of need. Their conjunction was at 15 degrees and 23 minutes of Scorpio and the Sabian symbol was 'A girls face breaking into a smile.' I talked of the smile as a means of gaining social acceptance and forming alliances with others that bring a sense of safety and lessen a threatening circumstance. Venus is reminding the Moon that a smile can achieve a lot, and in the face of great difficulty can dissolve all the harsh contours of challenging things; can bring a sense of humanity and assurance. When in doubt, smile.
That's it for today. It feels tense. Remember to grow and to smile whenever in challenging circumstances. Until tomorrow, Much Love
