Planetary Transits for the week 28th April - 4th May 2025
First impressions from looking at the chart for Monday, is that the Grand Fixed Cross is still operating as we begin another week. This time though, the emphasis is flipped over, and becomes stronger in the opposite direction. The point of the apex is Black Moon Lilith, so this archetype mediates the opposition between Mars and Pluto; still strongly in play.
The Death of the Pope became the instigating focal point of last week, culminating in his funeral just before the New Moon in Taurus, on Saturday.
Saturday was a day of relative quiet, which echoed the ‘space between’ energy. If you remember from last week, I talked about the ‘space between’ where the Moon was in Balsamic phase before entering the heart of the Sun and experienced its moment of Death and Renewal. The end and the beginning of the Moon Sun phasal relationship. How strong this ‘still potent’ fixed grand cross energy is proving to be.
Monday 28th April
This week, the archetype of Black Moon Lilith mediates the opposition between Mars and Pluto. BML represents in symbolic form the strong, wild, untamed feminine. There is so much that this archetype speaks to, and in Scorpio is going to bring to the light of awareness, those hidden, forgotten, abused, suppressed emotional and karmic energies.
In square to Mars this tension is between feminine and masculine. Both in their own ways, absent Mothers and Fathers. This is my feeling for this square. Both in their own ways have been separated by war and the divide between the feminine and the masculine; a wound of separation. The conversation would be a long one, so I will leave these thoughts here for now. But here in this T-Square, they are both in a crisis in consciousness alignment and Black Moon Lilith also holds the tension to act upon the impulse of Mars.
For BML, the square with Pluto is a crisis in consciousness square of deep and intense proportions. It deals with the hidden underbelly of karmic, emotional power plays, at an unconscious level that run through the subconscious patterning of the psyche, and the deeply embedded programs in the subconscious. The BML/Pluto square brings us into direct confrontation with Pluto’s transformative power, operating in Aquarius to de-compartmentalise, excise and expose what has remained trapped in the far memory and trauma signatures of the individual and the collective experience of the past.
Both Mars and Pluto are co-rulers of and affiliated with Scorpio, so this T-Square as part of the grand fixed cross, is being highlighted by the light of the Sun, as the week begins. By tomorrow we shall see this begin to dissipate but the T-Square is the predominant force that propels the chart through this week. Mars will break the tension. BML will bring up the issues and remain in square with Pluto’s transformative power, which is intense; all the more so because of the focused attention, as Pluto drills into this degree of Aquarius toward it’s retrograde motion.

4 degrees Aquarius, 5 degrees Leo, 4 degrees Scorpio.
At 4 degrees of Aquarius, Pluto drills into the themes that we looked at last week and this symbol is A Hindu Healer; ‘These are necessary lessons when healing ourselves of distortions of light (4).’ This degree range encompasses the idea of ‘Balance.’ Awareness and Healing of Distortions.
At 5 degrees Leo, Mars is activating the themes that are addressed in the symbol of, ‘learning how to see things in the larger context (5).’ This is the last of the degrees that encompass the idea of ‘Self Confidence.’ Perhaps the ‘Self Confidence’ required at the 5 degree mark of Leo, is that of knowing that despite apparent surrender to larger forces, we know that we shall be carried beyond this point of tension, into a greater self expression.

Any sense we may have that we are powerful and special, though often helpful in our process of self-evolution, must be put into the context of what unfolds in geological time - the works of Nature. However young and vibrant we may feel within our own small world, we are insignificant within that greater, ageless expression of creative possibility.

Mars must give way to Pluto and allow for the process of deep transformation to occur. It’s impossible to hold back such powerful natural forces, which are larger than individual resistance to them. Resistance brings greater suffering; and this is so very true.
At 4 degrees Scorpio, Black Moon Lilith encounters the themes of the symbol degree where, ‘Communal rituals both settle us into worldly life and deepen our access to the spirituality of the passionate life force (4).’ and encompasses the idea of ‘Stability.’

The defining of ‘our group’ is important. There are enemies who would threaten our survival and happiness and, of course, they are strangers. Not all strangers are enemies however, and we need to be able to tell which is which. We do this through the development of rituals, which also have the purpose and effect of deepening the bond between members of our group. Rebels within are also clearly identified as they always refuse to participate in certain selected rituals. These can be mundane or sacred, from celebrating certain days of the year with pancakes, chocolate eggs or roast turkey to the observation of prayer and rites to do with birth, marriage and death.

A YOUTH CARRIES A LIGHTED CANDLE IN A DEVOTIONAL RITUAL
This is such an interesting symbol degree for Black Moon Lilith. My initial thoughts on reading this, are it showing us that BML as an archetype of powerful and intense feminine intuition, has access to, or vision into a group dynamic, where there is belonging and communal rituals in which everyone who is part of the group, participates. This participation suggests that belonging and being part of a group, brings one into receipt of a force of life and empowerment through group identity.
There’s also a sense that the symbol speaks of identifying those who are simply ‘pretending’ to belong, but who do not fully participate; and this seems to suggest that BML as the mediator of the opposition, is in the realm of identifying who is who, through deep and powerful feminine intuition; insight. This would be the identification of infiltrators into a group by those who do not actually belong, but operate in a different way. I’m just going to say it like this and leave it here. We shall see how these themes may or may not play out this week, as the T-Square fulfils its purpose, but I can see the application of this function of intuition, as an important point of recognition, that removes a cloak of hidden power from infiltrating sources.
It’s all about exposure and bringing to light that which has been hidden and cloaked in the disguise of belonging, while secretly operating differently.
We could just leave Monday there; it’s so intensely powerful it seems. The remaining transit energies of Monday need to flesh out the day and start the week.
Apart from the powerful T-Square energies that are resonating through the day, we have a North Node, Saturn and Venus sextile to Uranus in Taurus. This is a power packed sextile that electrifies the Pisces Venus Saturn conjunction that is still within range of the North Node evolutionary window, and that is rippling through the field of consciousness. It is redefining everything. Uranus in Taurus is the electricity of frequency change that is running through the ground of fixed reality. Venus rules Taurus and so her redefined value system, in alignment with the evolution of consciousness, is feeling tuned into and resonating with the same frequencies as Uranus. Change is the name of this sextile. Change of consciousness, evolution of consciousness, elevation into spiritual value systems that desire new forms. Venus moves quickly toward her ingress into Aries on Wednesday and a third but potent conjunction in the first two degrees of Aries with Neptune; Emergence of the potential that Venus brings, into cardinal fire of Aries.
Jupiter and Chiron are beginning to talk, and their sextile will become stronger as Jupiter heads forward. So this is a conversation that is going on, but is not yet at its peak. As a conversation, it most likely will talk about healing things; healing of the individual, healing information and wisdom that becomes available to all, through the Big Voice of Jupiter in Gemini. Healing and the need for it, will become front and centre as Jupiter moves toward exact sextile with Chiron over the coming days and weeks. It’s a conversation that needs to happen.
On Monday to finish up the day, the Moon makes just one aspect in the evening. At 23:02pm, the Moon in Taurus makes a separating sextile to the North Node in Pisces, which means that during the nighttime hours the Moon will also make a conjunction with Uranus in Taurus, and sextile’s in quick succession to both Saturn and Venus in Pisces. We are feeling the evolutionary changes that beckon the Moon (the People) into new values (Venus rules Taurus; she ruled the New Moon on Sunday and her presence here is strong). New systems of healing; new forms that the Saturn Neptune conjunction will instigate, as they meet up in Aries for the first time this year, will no doubt be a part of this moment of recognising the need to heal, and the need for new forms of healing that are of a ‘frequency’ that aligns with new values and connections, as the world moves into the latter half of the year.
Tuesday 29th April
The background signature in the chart is the grand fixed cross, but with the emphasis on the BML Pluto square that is strong and pretty much exact. Things continue to come to light that have been hidden. Secrets. I remember John F. Kennedy’s famous speech, where he said the words, ‘the very word ‘secrecy’ is repugnant in a free and open society…’ Although it shows as weakening, the Mars Pluto opposition is still strong with less than a 1 degree orb of difference, and the same for the square to BML in Scorpio. The square and opposition is likely to have Mars wanting to act and push forward in response what surfaces. Mars sits in the crisis in consciousness tension to BML, and in polarised position with Pluto. BML sits in the crisis in consciousness position in the tension to Pluto and the tension to Mars. BML holds the space. In this T-Square the tension is taught.
Just a note for those whose natal charts will be activated by the T-Square transits, that dreams may reflect these deeper, powerfully transformative processes.
At 6:35am the Moon makes an early morning ingress into Gemini, where communicating becomes the first order of importance. Making connections, networking, sharing information and learning.
Throughout the day, the Moon makes a sextile to Neptune in Aries, a trine to Pluto in Aquarius and a sextile to Mars in Leo. The Moon connects with intuitive felt senses, to the transpersonal and transformative energies of Neptune and Pluto, who are in a sextile together themselves. The sextile and trine energy today is both helpful, sympathetic, resonant and supportive in a collaborative sense. Everything feels synchronous and aligned. Progress feel real, especially at the level of communications.
Wednesday 30th April
At 05:49 the Moon in Gemini makes a sextile to Mercury in Aries. Early morning right and left brain communications assist in understanding something. Dreams may be insightful.
At 07:47 Pluto’s square with Black Moon Lilith is now exact. Again, dreams may have brought up issues that need emotional processing. There is the potential here for powerfully intense, personal and collective revelations, around secrets and things that have been hidden in the psyche, and in systems of individual/collective governance.
At 16:57 the Moon makes a conjunction with Jupiter in Gemini. The Moon Jupiter brings change to how the Moon perceives things and there’s the potential for a change of mind on big picture issues.

The industrial city life with factories, and therefore worker unrest, is contrasted by the pastoral village life where it is normal to celebrate the swings and roundabouts of our feelings, which are more in tune with the seasons and rhythms of Nature. As a healthy society includes both cities and villages, so a healthy person includes both intellectual and emotional drives and values.

The clear theme here is the healthy and acceptable communication of feelings around important things, that allows for sharing in communities, in a channelled way. My sense is that this has not been easy in many ways, but that this Moon Jupiter conjunction of Intuitive and Feelings senses, is able to express in the Faith that one can be heard and feels safe to share thoughts and feelings. However big or small ones community, there is an opening in this conjunction and a ‘change’ is possible in perception. Choose (channel) where you share your thoughts and feelings. Not everywhere is appropriate. This could be another way to interpret the symbol degree.
At 17:16 Venus makes her ingress into Aries and we can feel the change of energy in how we connect. In Aries, Venus is forthright, immediate, inspired and honestly quite passionate about her values; courageous in her actions. Venus expresses her independence and individuality. Venus in Aries has an opportunity to be her absolute best and to radiate optimism toward new beginnings.
At 21:30 the Moon makes a sextile to Chiron in Aries. This is likely to bring a communication, an insight, a lesson and a teaching; the healing and wisdom of self assertion.
At 23:17 the Moon is now in square to both the North and the South Nodes of her own orbital path, and the evolutionary impulses and tensions between past, present and future. South is about release, through the integration process. North is about leaning into the window of opportunity, to evolve and grow. In Gemini the Moon is learning, connecting, sharing, speaking and listening. In Gemini everything is a matter of perception.
Thursday 1st May
We can see in the chart for Thursday, that the grand fixed cross is disintegrating now as the Sun breaks the connection with Pluto. This leaves the T-Square still in play and BML holding the tension between Mars and Pluto.
At 03:48 the Moon in Gemini makes a square to Saturn in Pisces. As a first quarter square, there is a need to communicate what is sensed running through the field of consciousness, that is bringing new forms and systems as they are beginning to emerge into conscious awareness; more and more. What are these new forms and what will they look like? Dreams may bring insights.
At 07:23 The Moon enters Cancer and arrives home to feel and process everything.
At 07:56 the Moon makes a square to Venus in Aries. As a first quarter square the Moon feels compelled to process emotionally, the changing values and how it all feels, what it all means, how the impact will be felt at an internal, felt sense and subjective level.
At 09:13 the Moon makes a first quarter square to Neptune. Neptune in Aries, is newfound spiritual emergence of potentiality into active reality. The square brings a sense of disruption to the Moon who wants to rest in the feelings world, and process. Neptune’s transpersonal energies bring so may visions and images, so many conflicting ideas; things can feel nebulous and ungrounded, and in Aries, there could be a lack of focused direction. So this crisis in action, while in Cancer might feel like such a lot to process; an overwhelm of sensory input. The haven of Home, becomes a mass of feelings, without an anchor.
At 14:01 Moon in Cancer makes a trine to Black Moon Lilith in Scorpio. The trine is harmonious and brings a deep understanding of feminine needs to be internal and process. The contents of the Scorpio realm need to be processed and the trine makes the material fully available. It’s a powerful period of time in the Moon’s day. In fact the next few days are powerful for the Moon, as we shall see.
Friday 2nd May
The chart for today shows that the fixed T-Square is prominent, and between the other planets, there looks to be a gaggle of dialogue and a strong square between the Moon in Cancer and Mercury in Aries. The Jupiter Chiron sextile is increasing. Saturn and Uranus are also in a strong sextile still. Venus has now entered Aries and is effectively in conjunction with Neptune which is exact later in the day.
At 03:44 the Moon in Cancer makes a sextile to the Sun in Taurus. As a separating sextile, the Sun propels the Moon through solar light energy, and infuses stability and strength of a feminine nature, that brings a sense of feeling nurtured.
At 13:37 the Moon makes that strong square to Mercury in Aries. This brings new information and fiery, passionate and cardinally oriented communications. There is an insistent energy to Mercury’s conversations and an assertive way about how Mercury communicates that’s hard to ignore. The Moon in Cancer is in emotional processing mode, but logic forces it’s way into the secluded space of home. The square prompts the Moon to connect with what is being communicated and to make some decision about it from an intuition based level of decision making. The information comes in at a speed of fiery impulse and the Moon must internally and intuitively deal with it subjectively.
At 17:06 Venus in Aries makes her final conjunction with Neptune. New values and self confidence is merged with Neptunian, unboundaried visions. The Aries lens of expression, as cardinal fire, is helping to burn off the fog, so things may become clearer at the time, than they are now. Let’s look at the Sabian symbol to see if we can find that clarity.

Objectivity arises when we come to see that we exist within an extended sphere of reality, and when we can laugh at how insignificant we actually are within that inestimable, cosmic world. We see how silly is our prideful self-love and, within the context of the greater picture, how irrelevant are our personal thoughts and feelings. It is a great leap forward on the path to realisation when we release self-importance.

A COMEDIAN REVEALS HUMAN NATURE
Resilience of character brings a lesson in self adjustment. It’s the ‘cosmic joke’ that arrives to dispel grandiosity at the point of self inflation. To be able to take the self lightly and adjust in relationship to a world full of ‘others,’ is a hard but necessary lesson. To be able to laugh and take the self lightly is a good outcome of this. Of course, the self and ones feelings are important, but in the context of this symbol degree, the lesson is of dispelling ego inflation. Venus is in this conjunction, perhaps having a moment of dissolution of self importance, and this brings a humility but also, humour. Venus is valued nevertheless, although the Neptune conjunction brings a sense of divine comedy. It reminds me of ‘the Fool’ archetype, which is very much connected with Aries. Whatever comes, it’s important to find the humour, and be able to laugh at our own antics.
Saturday 3rd May
It’s all about the Moon today. The Planets themselves do not make additional aspects today. Only the Moon connects with them throughout the day, and there are a lot of connections made, so I will summarise the day.
At 01:04 the Moon in Cancer makes a square to Chiron in Aries.
At 02:34 the Moon makes a trine to the North Node in Pisces.
At 05:05 the Moon makes a sextile to Uranus in Taurus.
At 08:01 the Moon in Cancer makes a trine to Saturn in Pisces.
At 11:29 the Moon ingresses into Leo.
At 13:36 the Moon in Leo makes a trine to Neptune in Aries.
At 14:32 the Moon makes a trine to Venus in Aries.
At 18:24 the Moon makes an opposition to Pluto in Aquarius.
At 19:06 the Moon makes a last quarter square to Black Moon Lilith in Scorpio.
During the nighttime hours into Saturday, the Moon makes a series of connections. A need to heal some emotional issues or crisis that meets future emotional needs, and a sextile to Uranus that is the electrical current running through the field of reality. This could feel destabilising and dreams may reflect this process. There is an early morning trine to Saturn, which offers a sense of spiritual stability and intuitively an understanding that things that are changing will bring new structures and new levels of stability, eventually.
As the Moon enters Leo, the energy is fired up and expressive of how the Moon identifies itself as unique with a sense of selfhood. During the day there’s a nice trine to Venus and then Neptune. But then the Moon is met with the Pluto opposition and the Black Moon Lilith Square; the T-Square energy that Mars has just encountered. The Moon (the People), now fully encounter this intensity in its full force. This is a very strong period of time on Saturday from late afternoon through into the evening period, and will ripple through into Sunday.
Sunday 4th May
The Moon makes a nighttime conjunction with Mars in Leo, just after midnight.

This conjunction is at 6 degrees and 59 minutes and is in square to the point of the New Moon in Taurus last Sunday.
The degree range of this symbol encompasses the idea of ‘Impact.’ ‘by knowing of the permanent spiritual truth beneath the illusion of impermanence - that which changes moment by moment (7).

Even though we may grasp intellectually the impermanence of life, on the emotional level we nevertheless need stability, and yearn for permanence. We project this yearning onto whatever seems unassailable - sunrise, seasonal cycles and the position of stars - then we will try to give supra-human meanings to these cosmic phenomena. We have reason to contemplate that perhaps this is mutual and the Universe itself looks for its meaning in and through humanity?

THE CONSTELLATIONS OF STARS SHINE BRILLIANTLY IN THE NIGHT SKY
There is a deep level of profound spiritual awareness in this Symbol degree, that does indeed make an impact. I notice in the image, that there is a central star at the heart position. This seems to speak to the heart of the matter; whatever the matter is, we are experiencing the heart of it, in this conjunction with Moon and Mars. There is a deeper truth, underneath the apparent reality, that is Universal rather than just the generally accepted version of what is real and true. There’s also deep questions embedded in this degree; of the perceiver and the perceived, the dreamer and the dreamed. Is what sees us, observing itself through us, just as we are seeing the stars outside of us, that are within us.
In this degree symbol we are asking fundamental questions around our existence. ‘Why are we?’ ‘Who are we?’ ‘What is this all about?’ There is a profound seeking to know the truth, to feel into the heart of the truth and to know something that we have struggled to understand.
I’m leaning in the direction that whatever comes to light this week, through the T-Square and the other transits, brings us to this point of deeper, heart-based reflection. This is a nighttime conjunction for the UK and evening on Saturday for the US and elsewhere at other times. For those of us in the UK, our dreams may bring unknown knowns into conscious awareness. Fundamental truth is a heartbeat between the Moon and Mars in Leo, at this degree.
At 13:51 the Moon in Leo makes a first quarter square to the Sun in Taurus. Active intuitive processes are needed, to feel the way forward. The New Moon Symbol was, ‘A Sleigh Without Snow,’ and spoke of optimism and expectation of something coming that is not here yet. We sense it even though we cannot see it. The heart leads.
At 15:27 Pluto is fully stationed and now in Retrograde. A potent moment to end the week. The T-Square has done its work and BML will remain in tight square with Pluto into next week and in effect in the chart through May and into the later part of June before the aspect dissipates entirely.
