The Moon travels through the signs of Fixed Air Aquarius on Monday. On Tuesday the Moon enters Mutable Water Pisces, until Thursday when she enters Cardinal Fire Aries at 16:26pm. On Saturday the Moon enters Fixed Earth Taurus at 17:38 and stays there until Monday 26th to begin next week in Gemini at 17.22.
Monday 19th May begins with the Moon in Waning Gibbous Phase. The process of this Moon phase through Aquarius is about ‘contribution as a unique individual.’ Waning Gibbous encompasses the energies of cooperation, assessment, evaluation and review.
06:17 the Moon in Aquarius makes a sextile to Venus in Aries. We have an early morning collaboration of mutual intention between Fixed Air and detached Moon, who still feels but in a cool sense where dissociation is often the response to feeling overwhelmed, and Venus in Cardinal Fire Aries who is passionately and actively in pursuit of personal values that meet her immediate needs. Sextile’s are helpful in a general sense and in this sextile, perhaps the Moon helps Venus to cool her impulses, while the Moon is inspired to stay present and not dissociate from the day. As an applying sextile, the Moon is more likely to be pulled into activity by Venus, who is helped to ‘wait’ for the Moon to come into the day.
08:22 and the Moon in Aquarius makes an opposition to Mars in Leo. So there is an at odds feeling between the Moon’s subjective sense of being connected and aligned with collective wishes, and Mars who in Fixed Fire Leo, is Activating a more Self possessed energy. Both needs can be met but I think it takes a long view and perspective of ‘both/and’ rather than one ‘or’ the other. Both could pull at the Moon starting on Monday morning. Monday seems to be starting off with a need to take time to come into the day, while the responsibilities of participating with everyone else are pressing. Mars activates personal desires, while the Moon might just want to ‘dip out’ of everything. It’s a gnarly kind of opposition. How to meet the needs of Self ‘and’ accommodate obligations toward collective needs and endeavours, is likely to be the tension that is felt. It all feels like a typical Monday morning.
11:59 and the Moon in Aquarius makes a last quarter square to Mercury in Taurus. As a crisis in consciousness this is Fixed Air to Fixed Earth, where our ideas meet reality and our subjective Moon must make adjustments in communicating intuitive ideas which need to be thought through fully and slowly. The Moon will make a conjunction with Mercury next week on Monday, and what ideas are formed now, will have a voice then, percolating up through the Balsamic phase with the Sun, in this square today with Mercury.
Tuesday 20th May and the Moon enters its last quarter phase that is characterised by ‘contemplation.’ It’s a phase of letting go and release, and a cleansing. In Aquarius still, this would suggest that ‘ideas’ are being released and cleansed from the Mind. As a fixed sign, Aquarius can have fixed views of the way things are and should be, and can show up as shadow in a dogmatic adherence to outworn ways of viewing the world. It feels like these are some of the things being cleansed out of the system of collective thoughts and ideas; and a realisation that there are things known and things unknown, and it is the unknown becoming known, that insists on adjustments in perception in the face of greater knowledge.
03:43 the Moon makes a sextile to Chiron in Aries. In the nighttime hours our dreams may bring us into knowledge that is healing as an individual, as the Aries wound is expressed through unusual dreams.
04:12 and the Moon now makes a trine with Jupiter in Gemini. Expansive and optimistic Jupiter brings a communication of knowledge in a fast stream of consciousness. Early morning hours and nighttime hours for some, can offer a dynamic flow of highly intuitive insights, back and forth between Moon and Jupiter.
07:52 brings the Moon into a last quarter square with Uranus in Taurus. An adjustment in Mind, in relation to reality and the fixed world that is changing.
09:38am the Sun in Taurus makes a sextile to Saturn in Pisces. This is the illumination of personal values as the world turns, aided by Saturn in the last degree of Pisces, as the Sun is in the last degree of Taurus. Saturn brings that Great Stone Face into the light of the Sun, which seems to suggest an anchoring in of the image and the vision of what wants to be formed, into the fertile ground of Taurus, warmed briefly by the Sun. This can all change, as Uranus will go over that ground later in the year. It’s as if we are making a series of templates that like architectural drawings will be adjusted as time dictates, in the course of this year into next. This sextile suggests an ongoing collaborative ‘working out’ of the kinks of a plan. Will this be the final cut? The mutability of the Saturn position says that these images will be revisited, during the Saturn Neptune retrograde process. So this feels like a germination period of something that ‘could’ be, but is not yet fully formed; almost.
11:58 the Moon in Aquarius makes a last quarter square to the Taurus Sun, in the final degree point of each sign. The Moon experiences another crisis in consciousness and adjustment of ideas, visions, plans in the light of that final degree of Taurus. The Moon cannot ‘fix’ on something; things are changing, adjusting and some ideas may be abandoned in the light of reality and what is truly going to form. This may be different than imagined. The Sun in Taurus is a brief glimpse of those potentials and how they might change as the wheel turns.
12:29 and the Moon enters Mutable Water Pisces.
18:55 the Sun enters Mutable Air Gemini. All the light is focused now into mutability, changeability, flexibility of mind and thinking. The Sun and the Moon both entering mutable signs on the same day, suggests a shift and a change in all the energies.
23:18 on Tuesday and the last aspect for today, is the Moon in Pisces making a trine with Black Moon Lilith in Scorpio. In the late evening there is a sensitive series of impressions that pass between the emotional realms of subconscious patterning, operating in the unconscious, that can be sensed and brought into conscious awareness. Dreams may also be seeded with some deeper truths.
Wednesday 21st May Neither the Moon nor any Planets make fresh transit aspects today, and with the Moon as a Waning Crescent, we are immersed in a process of surrender, self-kindness and compassion. Pisces is the natural lens through which these processes can be fully surrendered to with kindness, compassion and sensitivity. The Waning Crescent Moon phase, is in effect for the remainder of the week, and will include the Balsamic energies, of time in the ‘in-between’, where insights and breakthrough’s can emerge and a completion of the release, of emotional states of the past.
Thursday 22nd May
02:20 the Moon in Pisces makes a sextile to Mercury in Taurus. Collaboratively subjective ideas, dreams and emotional insights are transferred between right and left brained processes of the Moon and Mercury. There’s a stabilisation of thinking which can bring intuitive ideas into logical reality. Dreams may be insightful.
06:18 the Moon in Pisces makes a conjunction to the North Node at 24 degrees and 01 minutes.
The Sabian Symbol for their conjunction is The Purging of the Priesthood, where we rid ourselves of negative thoughts and the rooting out of corruption through the process of purification ‘often through fire.’ Here is the full text below for those who want to be reminded.
This degree range encompasses the idea of ‘Purification.’
Pisces 25 (24°- 25°)
ROOTING OUT CORRUPTION
However sincere an initial impulse was, there will always be corrupting influences; sometimes it is best to restart and refresh
"Rid yourself of negative thought"
A multitude of minor and major ego-adjustments add up to a life of interactions with family and associates. Yet these processes are not fully sufficient to deal with core issues of our shadow nature. To take us to another level of awareness, wherein we can see ourselves for what we are and let go of the deepest imperfection of being, we need to experience purification.
Very often this is ‘by fire’ – in other words catharsis. We live in a very dark and terrible age and we have to release ourselves from the expectation that that darkness will engulf us. There is hope for the courageous, determined, passionate aspirant – with these qualities we can be free of the corruption that has blinded us from soul consciousness.
Rudhyar:
A RELIGIOUS ORGANISATION SUCCEEDS IN OVERCOMING THE CORRUPTING INFLUENCE OF PERVERTED PRACTICES AND MATERIALISED IDEALS
In Pisces, this is a process that runs through this degree point in collective and personal field of consciousness. See how it all lines up? There is meaningful and purposeful intention written in to the process.
In this conjunction with the window of evolutionary opportunity, the Moon is able to purge itself of corruption at a deep level within the Mind and Consciousness. Very powerful opportunity. In order to purify and purge, one encounters through awareness, the corrupted elements within society and self. ‘General and specific; Universal and individual.’
07:41 Venus in Aries makes a trine with Mars in Leo. A trine between these two in fire signs is likely to bring instantaneous, impulsive and passionate connections between masculine and feminine principles within and without. It’s a hot trine, where Mars penetrates and Venus reciprocates. New beginnings and initiations of connection come from the feminine through the trine to Mars, and Mars sends a fixed and definite, ‘yes’ in return. Goodness me!
09:27 Moon in Pisces makes a last quarter square to Jupiter in Gemini. Another crisis in consciousness for the Moon with Jupiter, in their cycle together. Adjustments in emotional perceptions and sensitivities … compassion and perhaps ‘forgiveness for trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us.’ There’s a spiritual connection of deeper sensitivity, and communication of the big picture at the street level through Jupiter. I’m just going to have a look-see at the SS for the Moon Jupiter conjunction a month ago:
A barn dance
A BARN DANCE
Gemini 22 (21° - 22°)
CHANNELLED RELEASE OF EMOTION
Emotion is a normal aspect of being human and therefore has a proper place in the natural order of life
"Sharing our feelings within our community"
The industrial city life with factories, and therefore worker unrest, is contrasted by the pastoral village life where it is normal to celebrate the swings and roundabouts of our feelings, which are more in tune with the seasons and rhythms of Nature. As a healthy society includes both cities and villages, so a healthy person includes both intellectual and emotional drives and values.
Rudhyar:
DANCING COUPLES IN A HARVEST FESTIVAL
The Sabian symbol for their last conjunction talks about being able to channel emotions in a safe and acceptable way. I connect with this for the last quarter square as a way that the Moon may need to adjust communications that allow for an appropriate release of emotional experience, so that at the next conjunction there is a completion of this idea and this lesson. When and when not; how and how not to release our feelings. Jupiter in the big voice in the market place. Perhaps the Moon wants to be more circumspect, or to ‘speak out’ in a way that brings knowledge through to the learning of others. We will see how this might play out in the inner and outer worlds on Thursday morning.
12:18 and the Moon in Pisces makes a sextile with Uranus in Taurus. There is a collaboration between subjective conscious awareness and sensitive compassion, and the changes taking place in the field of reality. One runs alongside the other. As an applying sextile the Moon is pulled along into a field of change, by Uranus who in turn is informed of the state of consciousness which informs the higher intuitive understandings, of how change is implemented and at what pace. Taurus is measured; even Uranus in Taurus must be measured in order to continue to sustain and sense of stability through change.
12:39 and the Sun in Gemini makes a sextile with Pluto in Aquarius. Information exchange is highlighted that reveals and releases information between Pluto and the Sun. This is a very communicative sextile and the Sun illuminates the information through all networks. In Gemini the Sun categorises and disseminates, what Pluto is de-compartmentalising.
16:06 The Moon makes conjunction with Saturn at the last degree of Pisces. The Great Stone Face is the Sabian symbol for this degree and we have explored this many times now, and will again.
What now in the New Moon phase of the Moon Saturn relationship? How does the Moon experience the formation of an ideal? What ends, and what begins? What old visions, dreams and ideals fall away, to make way for a redefined image and understanding/underpinning to begin to form? In the soft light of the Balsamic process, we may establish a more concrete, stable and foundational idea. Remember there has been a release, a cleansing of corrupted thoughts and ideals, and so we evolve in our current awareness.
The Great Stone Face is not set in stone yet. Both Saturn and Neptune will make a stitch in time during the later part of 2025 and then, the Great Stone Face will be set in place as a foundation upon which the future will stand and grow, in 2026.
16:23 Moon enters Aries.
19:14 the Moon in Aries makes a conjunction with Neptune. The Sabian symbol of 2 degrees Aries encompasses the idea of ‘Emergence.’ This degree speaks of ‘A Comedian Entertaining a Group.’ Neptune is evolving this degree of Aries through dissolving the ego identity, to bring a more spiritual maturity. In this process of dissolve, we may encounter the feedback loop in a process of self adjustment. The Moon Neptune cycle brings about a symbolic ego death process, where the Moon grows in self love, self understanding; as a release of ego identifications/inflations/wounds, where there lies weakness and immaturity. The feedback is for self reflection and a renewal of self. The Aries archetype is maturing.
19:42 the Moon in Aries makes a sextile with the Sun in Gemini. As the Moon approaches closer to the Sun, this sextile is a very nice sociability of interested curious, communications. The Moon is still in the vibrational frequency of Neptune, and so this sextile with the Sun pulls this energy into the conversation. The Moon talks and shares, through the Sun.
22:41 the Moon in Aries makes another sextile with Pluto in Aquarius. There is a collaboration of transformative processes being brought to bear on the Moon, who in this separating sextile, is propelled forward by the power of Pluto; Knowledge is Power.
Friday 23rd May
04:43 Mercury in Taurus makes a sextile to the North Node of the Moon in Pisces and at the same time a trine to the South Node of the Moon in Virgo. Nighttime dreams may bring deep insightful processes that play out in the unconscious, between the Messenger archetype in flow with the release of past and in sync with future leanings and evolution in consciousness.
20:13 the Moon in Aries makes a trine with Mars in Leo. A fiery flow subjective and inspired Moon to Mars and an activation of the impulse to act, in outward expression through Mars. Mars acts from the heart of the self, and the Moon Feels the activation of solar identity as an individual. In close proximity to the New Moon, this feels like a seeding of energy between Leo and Aries; solar and masculine expression.
21:12 the Moon in Aries makes conjunction with Venus at 17 degrees and 22 minutes. The Sabian symbol for 18 degrees Aries, encompasses the idea of ‘Attainment.’
An empty hammock
AN EMPTY HAMMOCK.
Aries 18 (17°- 18°)
RESPECTING NATURAL RHYTHMS
All living things vibrate – struggle and surrender
is life’s clear message
"Tuning in to natural rhythms"
All life is rhythmic, and our personal long-term well-being and effectiveness depends upon our ability to find and practise whatever rhythm works for us. It is as inappropriate to be constantly active as it is to be constantly inactive or passive. Failure to understand this leads to a poor condition of life.
Rudhyar:
AN EMPTY HAMMOCK STRETCHED BETWEEN TWO TREES
This is rather lovely and much needed. Respecting natural rhythms. In this conjunction there is a new beginning in self worth and what it means in Aries. The individual in everyone is asked to take on the understanding that what nourishes the natural rhythms within the self, is what sustains the self. There is an ebb and a flow. We need passivity, action, and active non-action. To understand the needs and rhythms of personal needs is important. Venus values time to just be ‘actively inactive’ and to meet her own needs, through a newfound sense of self value and self love. There is a lesson in self regulation here that is in tune with what we all need. We cannot meet and reach everything, and it’s an important understanding to make the time to re-connect with the natural needs; to nourish and value the self.
Saturday 24th May
10:07 and the Moon in Aries makes a conjunction with Chiron. This degree point at 26 degrees of Aries, is the Sabian symbol associated with the idea of ‘Proficiency.’
A man possessed of more gifts than he can hold
A MAN POSSESSED OF MORE GIFTS THAN HE CAN HOLD
Aries 26 (25°- 26°)
WARNING AGAINST OVERSTRETCHING
Danger of becoming obsessed by range of life’s possibilities
"Avoiding overwhelm by development of discrimination"
It is very unsettling to find ourselves awakened to life as a constant spiritual experience. Rules and restrictions also operate on this level and we have to relearn what we may or may not attempt. We are advised to move forward calmly with a high degree of caution as we encounter examinations and trials of a higher order.
Rudhyar:
A MAN POSSESSED OF MORE GIFTS THAN HE CAN HOLD
This is self explanatory. The lesson is a warning of how to not burn out by trying to carry too much, never say no, pack too much in. It goes right along with the energies of the Venus conjunction, as a way to heal and gain the wisdom needed for the Aries archetype, of being on the go without a brake pedal. Very important lesson which brings healing and wisdom along with it.
This sets the tone for Saturday and the new Moon Chiron cycle for the month ahead. It’s a marathon; not a sprint. We have two arms; not eight and there is always a tomorrow but today is finite.
11:43 the Moon in Aries makes a sextile with Jupiter in Gemini. Collaborative and supportive, this feels like a fun and socially active point of the day.
15:55 the Sun in Gemini makes a trine to Pluto in Aquarius. Information flow illuminated and communicated, that is being transmitted between Pluto and the Sun.
17:38 the Moon enters Fixed Earth Taurus and can enter the slow and peaceful zone of taking things at a steadier pace. The feminine earthy energies after the active heat of Aries, is very welcome I think by now. The day slows into the evening.
23:14 Mercury makes a conjunction with Uranus in Taurus at 28 degrees. The Sabian symbol encompasses the idea of ‘Depth.’
A woman pursued by mature romance
A WOMAN PURSUED BY MATURE ROMANCE
Taurus 28 (27°- 28°)
PERPETUAL NEW BEGINNINGS
Limits of the physical body need not stop us from
staying alive to new possibilities and opportunities
"Maturity in relationships"
The sense of a time-based linear degrading of capacity is refuted. We do not need to 'grow old and die off' but instead always have the capacity to find a new beginning. For example, we can fall in love even when this is driven mostly by the heart's joy in sharing rather than sexuality and procreation.
Rudhyar:
A WOMAN, PAST HER ‘CHANGE OF LIFE’ EXPERIENCES A NEW LOVE
There are always new beginnings even in later years. Our thoughts and communications with Mercury in Taurus, reflect and connect electrically with an awakening to life’s possibilities and new growth, new values and resources, and what brings us a sense of pleasure in reality. It’s a lovely degree point that speaks to renewal instead of entropy.
Sunday 25th May
The Moon deepens into the Balsamic moments of the Waning Crescent Moon phase. The Moon is immersed in solar light and invisible to us; cloaked in light.
03:36am Saturn enters Aries. Something emerges from the realm of potentiality that ignites impulsively, as something to act upon. Suddenly, I feel the impact of this ingress and of the promise that emerges with Saturn’s entrance into Aries. This feels like manifestation of potential that is dipping its toes into the fire - let’s see what forms. Dreams!
04:09 the Moon in Taurus makes an opposition to Black Moon Lilith in Scorpio. The Moon’s subjective values is in clear view and direct line of sight, of those places where the fixed emotional patterns are highlighted through BML. The authentic and the unvarnished truth is being exposed by Black Moon Lilith, in her expression through Scorpio; emotional and karmic patterns are in clear view with this opposition. The opportunity is here to integrate and resolve something and to see it clearly in ones subjective world of Feelings. Themes around safety, abuses, taboo’s and the whole merged underbelly of shadow material, is likely to take a seat in the spotlight of this opposition.
22:05 the Moon in Taurus makes a last quarter square to Mars in Leo. This is the last of the week crisis in consciousness; needs for adjustment. This is around the reality of subjective safety, stability; patterns of a fixed and immovable nature, and the fixed activation of self expression through Mars. Fire heats the earth and dries it out creating cracks in the structure of it. It feels like this kind of process in this square. The Moon will move on and recover from the heat and the drought conditions created, and the adjustment feels like endurance of the moment.
And this is how our week comes full circle. We look to the New Moon in Gemini next Tuesday 27th May and next Sunday is 1st June!
Look out for a stand alone post I’ll be doing tomorrow about the energies of Pluto in Aquarius and how Pluto’s transformative powers work both collectively and at an individual level. I will offer a deeper perspective on the energies of Pluto, in the hopes that this will bring powerful insights into the deeper processes of de-compartmentalisation, and how Pluto’s transforming powers reveal trauma signatures, as we look to the very real potential of integrating the experience of trauma in our lives, through Aquarius.
Until next week for the Moon Feels,
Much Love
