Planetary Transits for the week 21st - 27th April 2025
We have a powerfully dynamic and potentially transformative week ahead, including many conjunctions for the Moon. First with Pluto on Monday morning in Aquarius, then in Pisces with consecutive conjunctions with the North Node, Saturn and Venus on Friday and I’ll post the chart below for Friday, since it is so busy. We have two T-Squares, first on Monday for the Moon Square to the Sun and Opposite Mars which is a fixed T-Square energy. On Wednesday Sun in square to Pluto and Mars, forming the second. Then on Friday the T-Square becomes a Grand Fixed Cross, ignited by Mars in Square to Black Moon Lilith in Scorpio. We end our Moon Feels week on Sunday with the New Moon in Taurus at 7 degrees and 46 minutes.

The Moon travels through Fixed Air (Monday/Tuesday), Mutable Water, (Wednesday/Thursday and into Friday), Cardinal Fire (Friday/Saturday) and Fixed Earth (on Sunday).
Monday 21st April
00:47am Moon in Aquarius makes a sextile to Neptune in Aries. Memories and knowledge that has been hidden could come to the fore … DREAMS.
01:35am Moon makes an opposition to Mars in Leo AND a square to the Sun in Taurus. At the same time the Sun in Taurus, makes a square with Mars in Leo. So this is our first T-Square energy for the week. In the UK this is during the nighttime hours and DREAMS may offer some insight for those whose natal chart is activated by these transit aspects. For the US, this energy will be felt during the early to mid evening hours both for West and East Coast timezones.

06:59am Moon makes sextile with Mercury in Aries and there is the potential here in the sextile, for the sharing of information between forgotten experience and individual awareness now.
Tuesday 23rd April
21:23pm Sun in Taurus makes opposition with Black Moon Lilith in Scorpio at 2 degrees and 59 minutes. There’s an illumination of emotional depth in relation to the BML archetype; issues of abandonment, scapegoating, suppression of feminine values. The opposition feels tense, in fixed earth and water.
21:55pm Moon in Aquarius makes a last quarter square to Uranus in Taurus. More fixed energies where what information comes to light, brings the need to adjust awareness and conscious connection to the deeper and changing values around what sustains and stability that is undergoing change. The aspect last for a couple of hours or so, but brings significant tension to move through.
Wednesday 23rd April
05:07am the Moon enters Mutable Water Pisces.
11:13am Moon makes sextile with the Sun in Taurus. This sextile is nothing but helpful. The Moon in Pisces is able to connect to everything at an intuitive and deep level, and this is part of the Balsamic phase of the Moon’s phase that we will meet later in the week on Friday. Sun in Taurus, speaks to the Moon of the changing landscape of resources, values, stability and fixed reality.
17:10pm Sun in Taurus makes a first quarter square with Pluto in Aquarius, while still expressing through the square to Mars. Effectively this is our second T-Square energy for this week. Tensions are building through the week between the fixed signs as powerful forces for change and breakthrough; perhaps by breakdown in order to break free.
Thursday 24th April
15:09pm Moon in Pisces makes last quarter square to Jupiter in Gemini. Again there is an adjustment needed in the field of consciousness. As a mutable square, there is a sense of flux between consciousness and logic, between the changing flow of emotions and ideas and what is being communicated through the big voice of Jupiter.
Friday 25th April
There are so many aspects today and a lot is at play. Friday feels like a perfect storm of tensions, from all directions. The aspects begin just after midnight. Here is the Chart for Friday at Midday.
00:50am Moon in Pisces makes sextile to Uranus in Taurus. This is a collaborative alliance that pulls the Moon in Pisces into awareness of change, innovation; perhaps a revolution of sorts and the electricity that runs between earth and water. Water soaks up the memories and the state of all that the fixed Taurus landscape contains, by osmosis. The Moon is infused with the ideas of what is to come.
02:53am Moon has already passed over the degree of the North Node and felt the breeze of the evolutionary window at 26 degrees 54 minutes Pisces (Sabian Symbol for this is ‘A Harvest Moon’ - “We reap what we sow.” Now, at 02:53am the Moon makes conjunction with Saturn at 27 degrees 14 minutes Pisces, quickly followed just minutes later by a conjunction with Venus 27 degrees 16 minutes.

Sufism teaches of 7 planes of existence, each with its special mystery, and the mystery of the Earth plane is abundance. The self-denial within asceticism may well be an important stage by which we learn to let go of need, but a more advanced level of development is typified by having no embarrassment about desire and fulfilment. It takes mastery to cope with both sides of the challenges of physical life. The first test is to determine whether we can create plenty, the next is to learn that the feeling of abundance is not supported by greed; enough is a feast.

A FERTILE GARDEN UNDER THE FULL MOON REVEALS A VARIETY OF FULL-GROWN VEGETABLES
The Moon in these degrees of Pisces has entered its Balsamic Phase. The Balsamic phase encompasses the last moments before death, as the Moon approaches the Sun. It’s a moment of Reckoning that leads to full immersion with the Sun and a complete release of its emotional charge. In this ‘immersion’ phase of the Moon, the power is nearly over, with a small left hand crescent visible in the night sky. It is like the point of ‘chiaroscuro’ where dark becomes light, or we could call this ‘the space between’ death and new life.
The Fertile Garden Under a Full Moon, almost at the point of a New Moon in this Balsamic Immersion Phase, is also in the degree range of ‘the realisation of faith.’ It’s all beautifully in line with the nature of the Moon in Pisces. Venus imparts her deepest spiritual values to the Moon and is merged herself into the Balsamic energies of the Moon in a full immersion; a full surrender and release. In conjunction to the North Node there is a culminating and receiving energy of all that has come before and the fulfilment of our ‘desires’ (Venus). In other words, we reap what we have sown. In shadow this might feel like chickens coming home to roost.
The degree conjunction with Moon, Venus and Saturn there’s a merging of experience between them, of what is of greatest spiritual value, the form that it takes and how this nurtures the deepest needs and instincts in the Moon. It’s a consciously aware moment of the realisation of faith that something is unfolding which goes beyond a purely earth-bound understanding.
This could be an enlightening moment for the Moon (the People), which comes at the end of a long journey in unconsciousness. Suddenly the truth sinks in, in this ‘space between.’ Surrender and full immersion is now possible. The faith lays in the realisation that birth and renewal will come.
With Saturn specifically, there seems to be a dual process in progress. The structures/complexes and systems of the world, as they have been and have operated, through limitation of human consciousness (Pisces), are being dissolved by ‘rising consciousness' and a collective awakening. Cause meets Effect - The ‘reaping’ and a ‘reckoning.’ At the same time, new forms and structures are forming; to create a new template that will be based on these deeper values and desires; more spiritual in nature; Conscious Creation, rather than Unconscious.
When Saturn and Neptune meet up in Aries at zero degrees in February 2026, everything will be set in motion and no looking back. This year we get a taste of this and in this Balsamic Moon phase before the New Moon in Taurus, seems to be showing us through these conjunctions with the Moon, North Node, Venus and Saturn, that we shall reap what we sow. What we value now, what structures are formed from these new values, will move with us into a completely new cycle of Saturn Neptune, in Aries. It’s actually difficult to overstate just how seminal, important and full of potentiality, these days are.
At 07:24am on Friday, the Moon enters Aries and makes an almost immediate conjunction with Neptune in the first degree.

Everything that ever comes to pass has had its first beginnings in the realm of potentiality, the ghost of an idea not formed, neither expressed nor explicit yet, in seed form, containing the unconscious potential for mature realisation.
The vast majority of seeds are not germinated and so fail to realise their potential. In the beginning, to become an individual, we need to emerge from the sea of the collective unconsciousness – to 'leave the womb'. First the desire is simply to be, because it is still far from certain whether survival itself can be attained.

This speaks for itself, especially in light of the experience that is the theme of the Pisces Balsamic Phase of the Moon and all that I’ve just discussed. It’s all connected.
During the afternoon on Friday, the Moon makes several aspects, including a nice fire trine to Mars, a sextile of mutual supportive energy to Pluto and a conjunction with Mercury at 9 degrees and 4 minutes of Aries. Mercury is just about to leave its shadow portion of the retrograde process and so we are about to enter into completely new ground in regard to communicating with a unique and individual voice; independence in thought and communications.

As we mature, we need to cast off previous models of reality and reinterpret past experiences, seeing them more clearly as metaphors having deeper meaning than we saw when we were previously absorbed in self-establishment. We are better able and more prepared now to contemplate our feelings as symbolic indicators rather than to get lost in them.

What a moment this offers. We find new meanings and ways of perceiving what we thought we knew, through Mercury’s lens of perception. Having just reviewed and reflected deeply into the field of consciousness through the recent retrograde, Mercury is just moments away from entering new territory in Aries. This symbol degree brings an understanding of how our views and perceptions; our thinking and how we communicate, has matured.
The last aspect on Friday to talk about is at 23:34pm in the UK, when Mars makes a square with Black Moon Lilith in Scorpio and the Fixed Cross is connected firmly, even though it has been operating through the entire week in many ways.
This is fixed fire and fixed water; Masculine Mars and the Wild Feminine nature of the Black Moon Lilith archetype. This archetype is of the abandoned feminine authenticity and authority, and the expression of the feminine in our world. Black Moon Lilith in many respects represents the outcast and suppressed feminine. This archetype is returning on her own terms into the field of relationships and with the world. In Scorpio she is emotionally expressing the truth of the fixed water element; karmic in nature, and which speaks of the abuses of suppression and power over emotional and psychological consciousness. BML resides in the world of subconscious programming and fixed emotional patterns where karmic entanglements have operated in a hidden and veiled sense.
In square with Mars, there is a direct confrontation between the masculine and this untamed feminine aspect. Mars in Leo is in the sign of I AM, radiating a more matured masculine force, while in square to the Sun in Taurus and opposite Pluto in Aquarius.
In this fixed grand cross, Pluto wins, but even so, there is a great strength of purpose for the Sun in Taurus, ruled by Venus (a feminine archetype), to uphold feminine values of love and connection; fertility and sustainable resources. BML in Scorpio is ruled by both Pluto and Mars. There is no predicting how this will play out, but fixed things in all the elements of Fire, Water, Air and Earth, are in great tension with each other. Something will give; something may break through, break out, break free.
My guess would be that Pluto brings knowledge forward which relates to hidden dynamics and karmic suppression. Mars is becoming stronger as a solar identity of his own and is faced with the truth and the tremendous tensions within himself to respond and act, as a statement of Self proclamation. The Sun highlights, illuminates and bathes his light onto feminine values, while holding the tensions and constellating the forces of BML, Mars and Pluto, into the fixed reality of Taurus. Resources of all kinds. Let’s see how this plays out.
Saturday 26th April 2025
Saturday is a much quieter day, aspect-wise. There is just one aspect made by the Moon at 16:37pm with a sextile to Jupiter in Gemini. Individually oriented Moon makes a nice collaboration with Jupiter in communications. There’s a lot to say, a lot to feel and a feeling to act on what is communicated.
Sunday 27th April 2025
01:05am the Mars Pluto opposition is exact at nearly 4 degrees Aquarius and Leo. DREAMS may be potent, powerful. Fixed fire to fixed air is potentially an explosive energy. Just like a fire and all its gases in a vacuum, either the fixed air will run out and stifle the fire, or the fire will break out of the vacuum. It could almost feel like a genie being let loose from the bottle and there’s no putting it back. Pluto ‘de-compartmentalisation’ of hidden and secretive knowledge, is in direct view of a Mars that is radiating like the Sun. There is a cardinal force behind the fixed solar expression. Literally anything could happen and probably will.
07:17am and Moon enters fixed earth Taurus.
13:15pm and the Moon in Taurus makes a square to Pluto in Aquarius now, joining in with the energy of the fixed grand cross. Just minutes later, the Moon also then makes a square to Mars in Leo and by association an opposition to BML in Scorpio. So we are truly immersed in these fixed and tense filled dynamics, still, on Sunday just before the New Moon. The Moon here is absorbing the impressions and imprints of these powerful tensions, in all the fixed places; everywhere at once.

I can feel the natural connection that this New Moon symbol degree holds in light of how the week has played out, with the symbolic degrees, the Moon’s phase, the conjunctions, squares and tensions that this week has been filled with. The New Moon feels like a test of resources to carry forward despite any and all setbacks, and that what has been built will be enough as a foundation for what is to come. There is also the idea that we have seen this moment coming; sensed the changes brewing, felt the tensions and read the writing on the wall. Optimism and creativity are great attitudes and abilities to go forward with.
And this is the week. Collectively the world is changing very rapidly and in unexpected ways. There are many perceptions that need adjustment and review through the more matured lens of Mercury, at the individual level and with new beginnings in mind. It seems important that as Mercury leaves the shadow of his retrograde, thinking is able to adapt to seeing old forms in new ways.
The week seems to require focused attention within, and in how we perceive and respond to knowledge being revealed, that we had not known about before. Feminine and masculine values are at the forefront of a lot of the tensions, as are necessary resources.
