Saturn Enters Aries

As the Chart above shows, there is a Minor Grand Trine that is now strong between the three Transpersonal Planets and Saturn. Saturn entered Aries at 03:36am on Sunday 25th May, bringing with him the dissolution energies of boundaries that ‘were’ contained in the field of the Collective Unconscious in Pisces, and the newly forming potentials from within Consciousness as they ‘emerge’ in Aries. We end at the End and we Begin at the Beginning; Pisces and Aries.
The Sun in Gemini has highlighted the early degrees of Mutable Air, which ushers in change a in perceptions. Mercury enters Gemini on Monday 26th May. The Moon enters Gemini on Monday 26th in the afternoon and makes conjunction with the Sun - New Moon on 26th/27th depending on time zones. Then Mercury makes conjunction with the Sun on 30th May. “In my End is my Beginning and in my Beginning is my End.”
Saturn entering Aries seeks to stabilise and make real what is potential; what has been dreamed of, imagined and idealised within Collective Consciousness. This process is the same for the individual, as it is for the whole. We are getting a preamble, a test, a taste, and a tentative grasp of what is to come. These are the New Beginnings that are being initialised in the field of Aries. In Aries, Saturn takes responsibility for what forms are created, with courage to step onto an unknown path and this is the leap of faith which Aries embodies. Aries in so many ways is the unsung hero. Seen as a Fool, as aggressive and impulsive, desiring only war; seeing only the base instinct and shadow, and yet these are the very qualities needed to take a chance and leap through the Fire. It is the Will to survive, to live, to ‘be’ and to exist. Saturn here, tests the mettle and links with Neptune in conjunction before they both head back to Pisces to ‘refine’ any unfinished business, before making things concrete through 2026 and beyond.
At the deeper level of Saturn’s entrance into Aries, is another layer of the energies that brings what is Unconscious into Conscious awareness. And this is where the Sextile with Pluto comes into this period of time. It is a many layered, multi-dimensional and subtle range of processes that are unfolding. Pluto stands alone in the chart as the Transformative Power in Aquarius, as I discussed in my article on Pluto in Aquarius, and the process of De-compartmentalisation. Pluto orchestrates and takes charge, lending these transformative powers to Saturn, in Aries as the arena in which the New Beginning is being forged and tested; and honed.
Saturn brings forward 12th House principles and material; contents from his process of dissolution, and this works hand in hand with Neptune and Pluto, and Uranus in Taurus; all working together in the Minor Grand Trine, to transform and change reality. Things become more visible. We get to see the direction that the steps lead us toward, as a point of tentative exploration; after which we get to then make a stitch in time, that solidifies and stabilises the impulse.
This is a big process unfolding, where all boundaries within the Self (Aries) and as a collective Pisces, are clarified and redefined. We also get to see the Saturnian structures that have been operating within Collective Consciousness, as they become known along with the contents of filing cabinets (de-compartmentalisation). This is Saturn working with Pluto.
Saturn working with Neptune brings the potentials into a real focus for the first time, as a ‘shock test.’ Neptune does not allow for the re-establishment of old ways, while at the same time Aries, is clarifying and burning off the Fog that has cloaked perceptions.
In the transformative process, there is always a period of transition. Transitions can last for years, months, weeks, days or moments. This current transition period will last for the duration of this initial foray into Aries, and include going over the End and the Beginning again, to tie up all the loose ends.
Saturn, Neptune and Pluto are all working with Uranus in Taurus, as we can see with the Minor Grand Trine between them.
The process seems to be doing multiple things all at the same time; unravelling, dissolving, clarifying, changing, AND bringing unconscious material to awareness, in preparation for fundamental Uranian changes, while establishing a foot in the door of New Beginnings, ‘as’ we wrap up the past.
So much has been going on ‘behind’ the scenes which becomes more and more visible over the coming months. This happens because it must. Awareness grows exponentially. This has the feeling of a ‘Shock Test’ to it, as endings and beginnings merge, release, consolidate, integrate and then reflect back over what has emerged, as Saturn and Neptune travel back to Pisces. The retrograde to come will scoop up any last minute, unfinished business as a rectification of the new design.
We are in the thick of a transformative process that is creatively winding up and getting ready to hit the ground running.
This all tells me that this ‘initialisation ingress’ of Saturn into Aries, has less to do with making things ‘concrete’ just yet, and more to do with ‘testing’ what wants to come into form, as a readying process.
Uranus will be part of this; as the Planet of shocks and surprises, and the agent of change. Prometheus was a Uranian character and gave Fire to Man which changed everything. The other gods apparently hated him for it, because the giving of Fire was a transformative and revolutionary moment in human potential. We are at just such a precipice now, even though to a great number of people, the workings of this revolutionary change have been mostly invisible to their awareness. We are at the point in the game of hide and seek, where the count reaches 10, and ‘here is comes, ready or not,’ brings the electricity of lightning and adrenalin pumps through those still in hiding. This kind of shock is part of transformational change. Every aspect of bringing dark to light is encapsulated in this process.
The North Node of the Moon, transiting into Pisces has made its initial impact on the field of consciousness, as a wide open window of evolutionary potential; everything and anything is possible. While the Virgo South Node does the work of releasing all that no longer serves the journey forward, and integrates the experience of the past; everything in its place.
When Uranus moves into Gemini in April 2026 (after the exact re-conjunction of Saturn and Neptune in Aries), I think we are looking at an ongoing process, of layers and layers of transformation through 2025 into 2026, and beyond. The trine between Uranus and Pluto endures, as does the sextile between Neptune and Pluto; Neptune and Uranus also remain in Sextile for some time to come. This is Transpersonal collaboration, toward mutually agreed transformation of reality.
As a point of reference and to understand a longer view, in around August 2028 Uranus will pull away from this aspect configuration, while the Sextile between Neptune and Pluto will endure through most of the 2030’s. Beyond that Neptune will pull away very slowly, bit by bit.
As Uranus enters Gemini next April, the elemental change will be complete. We move from Earth and Water into Fire and Air; from the deeper feminine principles where the process of transformation was internal, to the active masculine and external manifestation. It’s a Big Shift in emphasis.
Through Gemini, the gathering of knowledge and categorisation of it will literally take off. The impact of Uranus entering Mutable Air Gemini, will be quite different and much quicker than the ingress into Fixed Earth Taurus was. This began in May 2018 and in March of 2019 Uranus was fully committed in Taurus.
Taurus is resistant to change, Gemini adores it and thrives on the speed of intellectual stimulation. Uranus brings out of the box, innovations, and revolutionary change. Revolutionary because it changes everything, not because it revolts; although that also (to ‘re-volt’), as a sudden change in the voltage, frequency and pulse of things. People associate revolution with violence, but that is rebellion. Rebellion is a reactionary energy as part of the chaos. Chaos is part of the transformative powers of Creation; deconstruction and building new.
As Saturn transits through Aries, this great collaboration of Transpersonal energies, is where Saturn makes real the visions. Every change and transformation; every death and rebirth; every release and regeneration … is the ‘Process’ of continual synchronous movement. Stagnation is not an option. Nothing stays the same forever and change is the only constant. We get to live through it, to act and to determine how we respond to it. Saturn is the Great Stone Face made real.
The coming months are going to be so very interesting. We look at the movements of the Planets as they progress in order to understand where we are now. To know where we are in space and in time, is to navigate successfully through this Universal, Cosmic, Earthly experience.
